the excerpt question i can’t answer. but the read more image:
<a href="<php the_permalink()?>" ><img src="path of your read more image file"/></a>

An example of what I’m talking about: In WP-premium’s homepage – you see a feature image above the rest of the thumbnails. But as soon as you hit next page, that feature image is not included with the rest of the thumbnail posts. Anyone please shed some light!

One more thing – I like that diagonal look on your thick footer. Very original.

Overall – you have a good site. Very pleasing to the eye, very readable, and color schema is good. One thing I’m not a big fan of: your navigation for child pages – center aligned. If it was up to me I would left justify it.

I agree with Haecceity – not exciting at all. You have to respect the Apple community of designers – where most their work are very sharp, clean, bold and beautiful. This is what Apple is mostly known for. I’m a PC guy – and have been impressed with Apple’s community of designers.

Something wrong with your wp-comments template. I tried submitting a comment but goes nowhere. Overall – site’s pretty good. A lot of media, good ranking tool (is this a plugin). And I like the gravatar for the author.
