In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Advanced SEO settings disappeared@zupers The entire ‘advanced’ section was missing for me as well after the latest update. The only way I got it back was by going into admin > SEO > General > Features, and changing ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors’ to on. Saved the settings, and the advanced section was back.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] How to access the old ‘Advanced Settings’ in a post?@devnihil FYI, the entire ‘advanced’ section was missing for me (an admin) as well after the latest update. I went into the settings and ‘Security: no advanced settings for authors’ was already turned off (meaning it should be available to all). I toggled it on, saved settings, then toggled it off and re-saved, but the advanced section was still missing. I then went back and set it to ‘on,’ saved settings, and the advanced section was back.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Breadcrumb still showing old page nameI just notice a similar issue on my site today, which wasn’t happening last week. For me, the breadcrumb is all of a sudden using the main post/page title instead of what’s in the “Breadcrumbs Title” field (found under the snippet preview accordion in the ‘Advanced’ section). I’m guessing what you’re experiencing is related somehow, but I don’t see much discussion on here about this bug.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Breadcrumb path missing top silo page, puts blog page in insteadI just notice a similar issue on my site today, which wasn’t happening last week. For me, the breadcrumb now uses the main post/page title instead of what’s in the “Breadcrumbs Title” field (found under the snippet preview accordion in the ‘Advanced’ section). I’m hoping this bug is identified and fixed in the next update.

In reply to: [Simple Custom CSS Plugin] Googlebot landing page redirect@johnregan3 – Is this support forum dead? It’s been over three months without any type of response. Is there a better place to ask support questions?
This is an issue that has been brought up multiple times on this forum as well as many other sites (e.g., https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/88715/custom-css-in-wordpress-is-not-served-over-https-breaking-woocommerce-secure-che), yet I still cannot find an answer.
The plugin seems to not recognize that the site runs on HTTPS, and is redirecting googlebot from https://site.com/?sccss=1&ver=4.9.5 to https://site.com/?sccss=1&ver=4.9.5.
The only recommendations I’ve found so far are to use a different plugin, but this bug seems like such a minor fix. If I’m mistaken about that, with all due respect, I (and many others) would at least appreciate some kind of response.
Thank you.

In reply to: [Simple Custom CSS Plugin] Googlebot landing page redirectI hate to bump my own post, but I’ve seen other posts about this issue with no resolution and I would love to have someone address it. Since Googlebot (through the Pagespeed Insights test) apparently interprets the https://site.com/?sccss=1&ver=4.9.5 URL as a redirect chain (first redirecting to https://site.com, then to https://site.com, I’m just wondering… is there no way to avoid this? Is there any other way to call the CSS?
The issue is that Google automatically categorizes this as a landing page redirect; something that of course no one wants Google to misinterpret and/or affect the page’s rankings.
