update: solved. I found a duplicate function name in the child theme functions.php

(the theme’s functions start with ‘wp’ ?? )

not sure why the default twentyseventeen theme had an issue – but I’m outta time on this one ??

I might add – it worked fine before the weekend. This is a new development as of this morning when I attempted to add a new menu item.

I have tried this with no plugins enabled and the default twentyseventeen theme – still the same.

I have had this plugin running elsewhere on a different server for several years and never had an issue like this.

The feature image does not appear in the screen options to be selected (or deselected)

I am noticing that for each image.jpg that you add, NextGEN creates a duplicate called image_backup.jpg of the same size. So for 8MB of images, you’ve consumed 16MB of disk space. .

I uninstalled the plugin and re-installed it. Seems fine now.

as it turns out (7-nov-2017) AIOWPS and AIOSEOPack seem to dislike one another.

as I’ve said on another thread: IMO, Jigoshop eCommerce (2.0) is not yet ready for public consumption. Since the migration deadline seems immutable, I have opted to migrate all of my ecomm sites away from Jigoshop. I don’t have the time, and my clients don’t have the money, to deal with the constant inconsistencies.

Too bad – it *was* a nice platform.

create a file called phpinfo.php and put this in it

upload it to the server and open it in your browser. That will tell all.

don’t forget to remove it when you’re done using it ??

Jigoshop v2 has a problem with *any* shortcodes.

For instance
[audio mp3="/path/to/file.mp3"][/audio]

will not work within a product description.

This is true whether or not the shortcode plugin is present and activated.

Jigoshop v2 does *not* break shortcodes on pages or posts which exist outside of Jigoshop.
