I did “kindof” resolve the issue but by switching to the twentyseventeen theme and then installing wordpress importer and then going back to the theme I intended to use. I think its a conflict in the theme’s own import and the wordpress plugin, I could be wrong but none the less, that workflow did allow me to install the importer.

Trying to activate this plugin on a new install. I have installed a theme and related plugins, next step is data from another instance. Attempting to activate the importer and get “Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class WXR_Parser in …/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-importer/parsers.php on line 12”

I’ve deleted from the dashboard as well as via FTP and reinstalled without success.

I’ve opened up the parser.php file and don’t see anything off but I am not fluent in php so that really isn’t surprising.

I am having the same issue as mvaneijgen. The plugin worked before I set up multi-site, now I do not have the ability to approve users.

Is it a multi-site issue?

Hi Daniel, thanks for the reply. I am on a Mac (10.8.4) and it doesn’t work at all in Chrome (28.0.1500.95). I get fleeting functionality out of Firefox (23.0) and nothing in Safari (6.0.5) either.

Have you tested on Mac browsers?

Thanks for developing this plugin. I am excited to get it working but as of now I am having a problem. Can you point me in a direction so I can fix it?

I am having the same issue with heat maps not showing up at all on https://www.bitcentral.com. I do see all of the Admin info with information for each page that visitors have viewed and clicked on but when I click to view the page with the heat map a window pops up saying Loading then nothing happens.

We do not use SSL on our site at all.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

@manishkrag – the sample file was very helpful but on a Mac there are 3 options for .csv types, adding a note to the instructions letting Mac users know to use the windows one. The other two .csv types will not worked, I tried… ??

@ Juanporro, I just had an epiphany on what I have done to make it work in previous uploads. When I am exporting the .csv in excel, rather than just a standard comma separated values (.csv) type, I have to scroll down the options and select “Windows Comma Separated (.csv). Not sure if that will help, I am on a mac running OS 10.7.5 and Microsoft Excel 2011 for mac.

I just did that and was successful at uploading my list.

@manishkrag – It might be helpful to include the specification of the Windows Comma Separate (.csv) format. As I mentioned, I am not sure if it is because I am on a mac but I suspect that might be the case. Thanks for the great tool by the way ??

I am having the same problem. I have had the same problem every time I have used the plugin but somehow I had gotten it to work in the past after repeated attempts but this time, absolutely nothing I do works.

I had the same problem and the plugin also changed the favicon when in the dashboard. Also, upon activation it completely changed the appearance of my dashboard without me selecting any options. Shouldn’t this be in the options rather than a forced change?

I’ve also attempted to go back to the default permalink setting and that did not help.

I am having this same issue. I have individually deactivated each of my plugins and that did not change anything. I also renamed my entire plugin folder as to not be seen, and switch to the twenty eleven theme, nothing has changed.

All of my categories are gone and I cannot create anything new.

To the left of the post entry’s there should be a list of categories which are longer visible. When I attempt to create a new category to replace the missing, I am told it already exists. https://www.bitcentral.com/blog/

I am looking forward to the functionality in this plug in but an having trouble with it’s placement. I have control over where the botton is in your interface however, once the button is clicked I have no way to tell the pop up where it should be. No access to stylesheet and nothing in the user interface. Am I missing something?
