I have the same two plugins causing the same problem. So this could be the way Tribulant’s Newsletter plugin in uses Really Simple Captcha?

If so, I need the same fix.

yes, we have a lot of images. But those aren’t what’s causing the trouble. It is pretty clear from the stats that someone is using a host of IP address to hit the site. The give away is the Internet Explorer 5. I know that very few folks use that anymore.

Maybe I’ll try my host again.

Thanks t-p. Yes I contacted my host and they shrugged their shoulders and said there wasn’t much they could do.

It sure seems like a DDoS attacks, but not enough to really shut the site down. Yesterday, I got around 25,000 pageviews, which is about 10 times the normal amount.

Anyone else having this issue?

You’d be welcome to debug using my setup. I had to revert to an older vesion to get the problem solved, but would like to upgrade.

Not for me. I’m using WPMU 2.9.1.1. Same issue as before. I even deleted and reinstalled the program. Help! I really use this plugin.
