In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Changes in 5.1I think 5.1 was related to images, not worth worrying about.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Missing IP BlocksWordfence is not related to Admin Block Country, we do similar things, but we’re not the same thing. We don’t share code or anything.
There hasn’t been a significant difference after 4.3. I think the reason your getting issues is because more IP addresses have been created and the services used within my plugin have not been updated. The plugin lets people in if it can’t work out your IP address.
I think in the next version I’m going to have to add an option to say if “I don’t know what country your from, assume your a threat and block.” I think this is the next phase of the plugin.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Blocked myself, help needed please.I can help you recover, all you need to do is go to the database, open table wp_options (change wp_ to your prefix) and look for option name “admin_block_country_list” and remove the value. This should fix it.
I’m not sure about the UK issue, perhaps only block a few countries to begin with.
I need a bit more information then this, can you let me know the website urls. Is it a post/page.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Doesn't workYou need to select the IP service that works best for you. Use Wordfence together with this plugin, so that any that get past Admin Block Country, you can finish them off with Wordfence. Or you can pay Wordfence as a complete solution for the pro version.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Hangs my siteThis is probably because you used an older version of the plugin. I had to removed Tom M8te which was a dependency because WordPress took it down. If you used the latest you shouldn’t have this problem now.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Blocked my accessThis was probably to do with the IP service. To reset all you have to do is go into the database, open table wp_options find row with option_name = “admin_block_country_list” and remove the option_value. I did have these instructions in the support forum. I can’t provide a service to service every single IP address, no one can, everyday there are new addresses that come out, thats why I provide new services when I am aware of them.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Not working my sites.I think it depends on the IP Service your using. New IP addresses are always being made so its possible that the service you used doesn’t recognise your IP address.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Missing Tom M8teUnfortunately, WordPress took TomM8te away as it doesn’t follow their new guidelines. Upgrading the plugin to the latest version should fix your issues.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Question and Suggestions for new featureYeah your right, the reason is because for one of my clients, it didn’t like the local database of IP addresses as it was too large and crashed the site. So I instead found IP servers that can tell which country someone comes from, which is much better in that it doesn’t crash the site. I use Wordfence Security which is why I haven’t added your new feature. Thanks for the suggestion, and it is a great suggestion, but Wordfence does this so well, I can’t take it from them.

In reply to: [Admin Block Country] Not working or incomplete InstructionsIt definately works on my client websites. However I still get a few addresses that get past the security. The reason is because of the services available.
If you login and go to Block Country panel you can see at the top 3 IP to Country Services. I would choose geoplugin.net as it seems to catch the most IP addresses.
Unfortunately, you can’t block all addresses, because new ones are always made. This plugin has reduced attacks on one of my clients sites from 100 per day, to about 3 a day, thats much better.
Also I think you should download and use Wordfence Security. The two plugins together works really well. With Wordfence, if someone gets past my Admin Block Country plugin, you can use it to further block intruders.

In reply to: [A Forms] can I create a form very similar to this?Sorry you can’t, my plugin doesn’t make tables, which I think is what you need.
