In reply to: Theme: TwentyTwelve Changing link colorYou mean so people can’t tell you visited the links? It’s my art blog and I link to other art blogs. I don’t link to anything that should embarrass anyone, unless you don’t want people to know you enjoy painting.

In reply to: Theme: TwentyTwelve Changing link colorThanks, Paul. That seems to have fixed it. I don’t understand why it was gray on the other person’s computer. They don’t even know how to get to my blog so I’m sure they haven’t been to it before. I don’t have access to it today to check but it looks right on mine, now. Many thanks.

In reply to: Theme: TwentyTwelve Changing link colorYes, I did clear the cache. I just cleared it again and still see the gray links. Then I went and checked the site on a computer that has never been there and some of the in-post links are blue and some of them are gray! They are all just regular links and shouldn’t have any difference between them. Not sure what is going on.
Were the links gray for you (all the way down the page?) before you changed them with Firebug, because I left the style.css there so they should still all be blue.

In reply to: Theme: TwentyTwelve Changing link colorI was really only concerned with links in posts but I pasted that code into the style.css (changed visited to a dark blue) to try it and it didn’t do anything as far as I can see. All links are still gray. I can’t even find the place in the parent theme that is setting that gray link color.
ETA: Actually, it did change the color of links in the sidebar but not in the posts, which is where I’m really concerned with changing them. I hate trying to read gray text on a white background and would never purrposely inflict that on my readers.

In reply to: Suddenly, comment notifications have stoppedIt seems like if that was the issue, the 3 that got through would not have, but I’ll ask just to be sure.

In reply to: Suddenly, comment notifications have stoppedThank you, esmi, but none of that seems to apply. I do receive emails sent from my wordpress contact forms. Also, of the 18 comments on the latest post, I did receive notifications for about 3 of them. Nothing about my email has changed since I set up the blog over a year ago and I’ve been receiving the notification emails until now. They are not being sent to my junk folder, either.

In reply to: Suddenly, comment notifications have stoppedNope, even with all plugins deactivated and the theme set back to default, I do not receive notifications of new comments.

In reply to: Comment Notification for Comments?I use the Comment Reply Notification plugin by denishua for that. You can set it to send notifications when anyone replies or only when an admin replies. Very handy plugin.

In reply to: Child Theme breaks if I make any changesThanks, guys! I must have accidentally deleted it while I was editing it. I stared at it for so long and just couldn’t see it. Thanks again!
The NextGen Gallery Powertags plugin will allow visiters to choose to see only images with certain tags. HTH

In reply to: Won't show images in links list after upgradeBut I haven’t added or changed any plugins in at least a year. Could plugins that I haven’t touched since first activating them a year ago suddenly cause problems with a default widget that was working?

In reply to: Page Template Missing in 2.8Same problem here in Version 2.8.4. I checked MichalH’s link and I do have a template file with that code at the top. The custom template shows up in the editor as a page template, but when I add or edit a page, I have no choice of template. I also tried setting the blog back to the default theme then to my preferred theme, as suggested, but it didn’t help. Isn’t there anything else we can do?
Is this a bug in 2.8?
