Thank you for your info and help. Nothing like that worked. I spent about three hours with support on my hosting service trying options.
What I discovered, after sharing a chat with the hosting site–was there was a corrupted options database.
Steps to discovery:
Using FTP I edited the wp-config file to say
define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, true );
just above the
/* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */
line.
It generated a log I found that saidWordPress database error: [Got error 28 from storage engine]
>>and searching again, I found:
Mysql error “28 from storage engine” – means “not enough disk space“.
I turned the define lines back to
define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, false );
define( ‘WP_DEBUG_LOG’, false );Then, armed with that info, I shared with the hosting company the backed up sql database.
It works now.
Lesson learned: regular, scheduled backups saved my day–and if completely stuck, create a debug log.
Thanks, again!Thank you, Steven!
Hi, Steven,
Thanks so much for the information. To be clear, I tried to move the files /copy the files, manually, from the main site (parent site at that time) to the “new” subdomain by *trying slide the files into the folder and must have slipped. So, it’s kind of a partial duplicate from the old site–but now residing outside the the now active wp-content folder. Will this plugin work, please?
Before I try, I want to be sure I am doing this correctly.
Thank you again for the clarification.

In reply to: ERROR: Your website does not use HTTPS…Dear James, to be clear–(I just read the instructions),
the two lines are in the wp-confg.php file, but I’ve commented them out.When I go to fix it in the PHP database, what do I do with the disabled two lines in the file wp-config.php?

Delete?
Or enable them again with the correct address?–I’m just wanting clarity so that I’m following protocol and leaving the file in its proper form.
Thank you, again, M. Mead

No more warnings or cautions and the site is showing the
“https://…” on the Settings Page–no more being grayed out. Thank you, again.https://capture.dropbox.com/OEKQQ4cklmDHJCwH?src=ss
I’ve commented out the two lines and will read (and save) your tip.

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Pro Payment Gateway] Error_LogHi, Mb! Gosh, you are so kind to follow up. I was talking about this with my client today–and will be coming back to it. Another client grabbed my time and I lost focus, but I notice it’s still generating errors! I think I will try to make some small purchases to see how it works–as my request to access PayPal has not fallen on helpful ears. (The client has been gone a lot, too.)
I’ll be back! Thank you!

In reply to: [WooCommerce PayPal Pro Payment Gateway] Error_LogThanks, good idea! The client is going to put me on as a tech associate with access to the sandbox, etc., but I’m waiting to hear back. I will try that and see how it works.
Thank you, Mr. Solution.
