In reply to: getting rid of hyphenation in Twenty-ThirteenI learned the hard, hard way not to *ever* touch WordPress’s CSS. It took me *forever* to unmess up what I’d done the first time I tried.
I just don’t understand why something so basic isn’t a choice in the Dashboard somewhere.

In reply to: [Social] changed facebook password now it won't broadcastThis has not been resolved. I still don’t know what you mean by disconnecting and reconnecting the account — what exactly I’m supposed to be disconnecting and reconnecting, and how I’m supposed to do it. Help?

In reply to: [Social] changed facebook password now it won't broadcastI’m sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but I didn’t realize I was still using my old email address here. I’ve changed that so I will be more prompt in future.

In reply to: [Social] changed facebook password now it won't broadcastCan you tell me specifically how to do that? And am I disconnecting and reconnecting from Facebook or my WordPress website or both?

In reply to: [MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress] Change Submit Button ColorThe “submit” button in the contact form (I’m using the Jetpack plug-in) is bright orange. It really doesn’t go with my color scheme at all and is really ugly, at least from my perspective.
Is there a way, using the Customize plug-in for Twenty-Thirteen, to change the color of that button? I can’t find it anywhere in the Customize menu, even though I can change the color of just about anything else on my website using Customize.
I use the Customize plug-in so that I *don’t* have to mess with the CSS, which intimidates the heck out of me, so I don’t want to do it by getting under the hood and changing the CSS code manually. As in I *really* don’t want to do it that way.
So *please* tell me how to do it using the Customize plug-in. Or if there’s somewhere to do it in the JetPack plug-in, that’s fine, too. Just don’t tell me the only way to do it is to manually change the CSS.
Help?

In reply to: [Social Stickers] adding iconsThank you. I found it. Now the problem I’m having is that when I set things up, when I go to my homepage and click on the icons, I get a “Page Not Found” from each network, even though I’ve entered the website URLs correctly.
What do I do if the URLs are correct but the app doesn’t connect correctly with them? Is there some magic key to this that I’m not getting? What I’m doing is cutting and pasting the URL from each social network website into the appropriate slot on Social Stickers. Is that not the right thing to do?
Help again, please?

In reply to: changing color of widget buttonsThanks, but that’s beyond me, so I’ll just let it go.
BTW, I didn’t add any brackets to that post. I have no idea how they got there.

In reply to: changing color of widget buttonsLike I said before, I can’t give you the specific implementation. I wish I could.
So I guess that one’s never going to be solved.
I was told originally (when I posted this somewhere else — no, I don’t remember that, either) to post this to the forum of the theme I’m using. I have to admit to a bit of frustration about this, because this (being told to post a question to a specific place, then after I post it being told that I should have posted it somewhere else) isn’t the first time this has happened [sigh].

In reply to: changing color of widget buttonsI can’t really get more specific, because it’s been two weeks since I first posted this, and I ditched the widget with the button in question not long after that when I didn’t get a response here because I didn’t want a bright orange button on my website.
All I can tell you is that whenever I try to put something into a widget that has a button, the button is bright orange. And I’ve got the Styles plug-in installed, and I can’t find a place anywhere to change the color of a widget button.
My site is https://mmjustus.com, but since the button is no longer on the site, and I can’t remember the widget I wanted to use off the top of my head two weeks after the fact, that’s not going to help either of us much.
I’d still like to know where in Styles I can change widget button colors, though, just for future reference [wry g].
Thanks.

In reply to: [Twenty Thirteen] plug-in for changing colors? Thanks. At some point I do plan to learn CSS, but if I stop to do that now it’ll take far too long to get my website up and running. I just want to make some simple changes, is all. I’ll try the Styles plug-in.
I’ve already seen the CSS tutorial you linked to, and I couldn’t make the lessons work. When I copied the first example notation into a Notepad file, saved it with the .html extension, and opened the file in IE (I don’t want to switch browsers, I’m comfortable with IE), all I got was plain black print of the notation. So until I figure out what I did wrong, and I haven’t been able to so far, I’m kind of stuck, anyway.

In reply to: [Relik] header image won't show upIs there an easy (for beginners) way to widen the space between individual lines in the body copy? I would like to use a bigger text size (using Google Fonts and the plug-in) but apparently what’s limiting me is the space between the lines.
