In reply to: [Storefront] Image Fit + Text PlacementHi @doublezed2
Thanks for your help. When you mention 1:1 aspect ration do you mean when taking the images with a camera?
I currently have the 1:1 Thumbnail cropping setting enabled via Customize > Woocommerce > Product Images. I actually thought I had this disabled.
Hi @mej
Thanks for clarifying that for me. Wouldn’t hiding the widgets leave a large blank space on the left/right hand side of the desktop views then?
Maybe I am unaware of a way to use widgets where this wouldn’t happen. I know some widgets can be added onto individual pages via short code but that would make the job of including the widget a little bigger in some cases and possibly still unsightly.
Just firing this over to you in case you know of a better way to use use widgets.

In reply to: [Storefront] Image Fit + Text PlacementHi @doublezed2
Thanks for getting back to me.
This is an example of one page. You can see the image is a little to the left.
This is showing that pages backend settings.
This is that page in mobile view. You can it is very bad.
I’d like everything to be nicely centred on desktop, tablet, mobile etc. For all pages.
Happy to provide admin access if you’d like.

Hi @mej
Thanks for getting back to me.
Do you know is this just hides the widget or will the side bar also be removed?
A blank side bar seems to be the issue I am having because I am adding widgets elsewhere.
Kind Regards

In reply to: [Storefront] Sidebar / Widget EditingHi @shameemreza
Awesome. Thank you for helping understand this better. If I could give you five stars I would.
That plugin looks like it will do what I need. Loads to sort out on the site at the moment.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Storefront] Sidebar / Widget EditingHi @shameemreza
I understand and very much appreciate your help.
I will have to do a little digging on how to add this to my child theme as I don’t see anything like this listed in the “theme file editor”.
Question: Does this code remove the side bar completely or from all pages or just ones I have left “blank”.
That plugin seems like a good idea. I will be checking it out later but the link seems broken. That plugin seems like a good idea. I will be checking it out later but the link seems broken.
I get about:blank#blocked when clicking it.

In reply to: [Storefront] Image Fit + Text PlacementHi @ckadenge
Sorry I was off on leave there. The update went through automatically it would seem.
I am currently making the images fit by doing the following.
Using products (beta) to populate products I want.
Click thumbnail, resize images 150 x 150, Scale = Contain, Scale Badge Alignment =Centre, Image Sizing = Full Size.
So for now the images will look better.
Can you help me fix the positioning issue I have though? They look on desktop but very bad on mobile.

In reply to: [AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild] Not working correctly?just realised this guy hasn’t replied in over a year so. I guess this plugin is dead.

In reply to: [Storefront] Image Fit + Text PlacementAlso
I tried this code
.woocommerce ul.products li.product .woocommerce-loop-product__title { min-height: 50px; }
I played around with the 50px but nothing changed for me.

I replied to your message but the thread was resolved. My mistake I think.

In reply to: [Storefront] Image Fit + Text PlacementHi @ckadenge
Just getting back to you on this as I have rebuilt the pages of the site.
You mention before that the storefront theme should resize it. I think it’s doing it’s best but if you can view this link or anything other links you will see similar results for my images.
https://matthewm288.sg-host.com/saint-christopher-gifts/
Also, yes some of the product cards are off by the text but you will see here it has to be the image that’s causing the issue. In that case I think your CSS would not help me.
That plugin you mentioned “Regenerate Thumbnails” does it resize my actual image files or what does it do?
Note: Current image settings include:
- Settings > Media > Thumbnail size = width 150 X height 150.
(ticked box) Crop thumbnail to exact dimensions (normally thumbnails are proportional).
2. Customize > Woocommerce > Product Images > Thumbnail Cropping 1:1
Images will be cropped into a square
You’ll see from the link above this doesn’t appear to be happening.

In reply to: [Storefront] Sidebar at the bottomThe plugin I use for the filter actually has a feature that works to fix my issue. I just wanted to wait for your reply. Thanks for looking into this for me. Much appreciated.

In reply to: [Storefront] Sidebar at the bottomHi there, hopefully you get this. I was wondering if you could help me regarding this query again. I noticed in your CSS it states
.woocommerce-shop
This fixes the issue for that page. Is there a possible rule or something I can replace it with so it does this on all pages with a filter?
