It was a setting in iThemes security, it offers a ‘per content’ ssl setting. So it’s fixed now.

All the site URL settings are correct, as they have been for a couple of years. It’s just the latest post that’s the problem.

It’s probably better to restore from your most recent backup.

I had the same issue as the OP exactly, but the solution provided by @taurus1016 fixed it for me.

You MUST remove those 3 lines from wp-config.php afterwards though.

Damn it, it was a mis-configuration by the server host of their ‘intrusion prevention apps’. They’ve now resolved it, it was nothing to do with my install (GRRRRR!)

Or, more importantly perhaps, how can I diagnose if that is in fact the problem?

Yes, the images are definitely there in the uploads folder.

Found the solution if anyone is looking for it –

Just in case anyone has the same issue and is searching for a solution, I got my host to increase the php.ini memory_limit from 32MB to 64MB, and that fixed it.

Yes its a VPS, so no root access.

I am trying to do a backup to my local PC, and the site is running, I’ve definitely selected the database in phpmyadmin, same as I’ve always done it.
