In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Duplicate audio player shows upI’ve gotta tell you, I’m felling ZERO love in getting support for this plugin. What does a person have to do in order to get support from the developer on this plugin? I don’t understand.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Duplicate audio player shows upBy default, nothing is checked. Should I pick one?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Duplicate audio player shows upI do not have any of the options under “Podcast Post Types” checked. They’re all unchecked. Which one(s) should I use? Granted, I’m just using the default method to created a podcast under SSP. Podcast>>New>> and then I start filling in the required info – nothing special or tricky.

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Zero-Byte Download IssueI’ve already replied to Hugh on this, but not sure why it didn’t make it in this particular forum page. So, Hugh hit me back with the suggestion about making the change noted in the original support document on SSP’s site, where if you are using a caching plugin. I made the two line changes as suggested, but I did that months ago and it didn’t work then…needless to say, after reinstalling the SSP plugin and making that change again – it still didn’t work.
Ultimately, what I wound up doing was uninstalling W3C Cache altogether, thereby stripping my WordPress site of any caching capabilities. However, once I did that ALL of my podcasts started downloading with no issues…across all devices and any browser. VIOLA! Just like that. So, for now I just run my site without a caching plugin – just so that I can have downloadable podcasts.
This is NOT ideal, of course. It would be better to have SSP working with W3C Cache, or recommend a site caching plugin that won’t buckle under weight of SSP. ??

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Zero-Byte Download IssueHi, Hugh! Thanks. I’ve already performed the URL exclusion. That was months ago, but still no success. I did not want to institute the last option, because I want to still use the stats plugin for SSP. I wound up simply deactivating W3TotalCache, and when I did – my downloads started working again. So, I can re-enable it, if you’d like to help get to the bottom of what’s causing the problem? As long as that plugin is deactivated, then downloading the podcasts is successful – when it’s activated (even with the URL exclusions), all downloads result in zero-bytes.
Your thoughts?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] [1.14.9] Downloads are corruptThanks for chiming in…’preciate it. Yeah, I tried that initially. Uninstalled it, cleared the cache, reinstalled it. The settings were preserved, and everything looked the same. however, still having the same issue…0-byte downloads. The thing that really fries my bacon, is that I get ZERO help from the developer. He answers everyone else’s questions…or at least other questions that aren’t as troublesome as the 0-byte problem, but he hasn’t responded to me. I’ve not said a negative word in this forum, nor have I done anything considered stupid or rude. But yet, my issue with this software hasn’t been formally addressed. I;m riding on the coattails of other posters, who actually GET a response. I don’t understand it

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] [1.14.9] Downloads are corruptGood luck with getting help with that. I’ve have been asking for well over a month for help and I’ve received none on this topic. I think the plugin is very nifty, and built my whole podcast structure around this plugin – until I found out that ALL podcast downloads were 0-bytes.
Even after all this time, I’m still hoping that Hugh or someone from his team will provide some clarity, as the new version of the plugin still hasn’t resolved this problem for me (and apparently, other users as well).
Just installed latest updated 1.14.9 and flushed out cache. Nothing has changed – still get 0-byte downloads on all browsers, through the website.
Hello.
I have been having this issue for several weeks now, and have asked several times for assistance, but I get none, except for the “should be fixed with update 1.14.7”. However, this is not working for me either. Has ANYONE a fix for this?

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Still Having Problems With Zero-Byte DownloadsI’m not trying to be a bother, but it’s been quite some time and I haven’t received a response to the issue I am having with this plugin. I’m still faced with podcasts that cannot be downloaded. Would someone please provide some assistance?
