Hi Claus. It depends what you’ve got on your site. I would assume that a plugin that requires wp cron to work will warn you in wp admin if it’s disabled.
I know from sites I manage that some WooCommerce db updates use wp cron, but you can always remove the line in wp config to do those, and add it back in after. Again, on my sites, Mailpoet continues to work with wp cron disabled.
The best way is to set up cron jobs in your hosting as described by seereg98. I think the problem was the cron was set on the server, but Mailpoet was still running wp cron, so the problem was still happening.
Awesome! Happy to help and thanks for letting me know.
This might work – go to WP config and add this:
define('DISABLE_WP_CRON', true);
I had the same issue on SiteGround. More info here: https://kinsta.com/knowledgebase/disable-wp-cron/

In reply to: [PVB Contact Form 7 Calculator Add-on] Calculate button no longer appearsGreat. Thanks, that’s fixed it for me
Message has now changed to: There was a problem with your sending method. Please check if your sending method is properly configured.
Scratch that – client has already set up a Mailpoet account and didn’t tell me.
But as feedback the error message could be more helpful – something like Account already exists with that email address, as the message I saw was pretty unhelpful.I’m marking this as resolved.
Hi sorry for late reply. Sorry but I’m not prepared to give you an admin login for a minor issue such as this for security reasons. A non-working cookie blind doesn’t justify me risking the site by handing out an admin login, when there are other plugins I can use to do the job. It would be nice to get this fixed, and no doubt it’s affecting a lot of other people too. It can’t be just me.
You can see the site and confirm that the js error is gone, can’t you. And the only change is that I deactivated your plugin, so maybe it’s a conflict generated by your plugin.
I do have Jetpack on this site, which also has a cookie bar (that I’m not using) so maybe the problem’s there.
The same is true of the other site where I tried to activate this and the cookie bar did not work.Otherwise I can tell you the theme on both sites is GeneratePress (+ premium plugin), with GenerateBlocks.
If you can’t fix it with this info then I’ll just use a different plugin and leave a review accordingly. Rest of the plugin works fine as far as I can tell, but the cookie bar doesn’t on two different sites I’ve tried.
Thanks. I switched your plugin off and the error disappears. Doesn’t that mean the error is in your plugin?
If you check again, your plugin is deactivated and the error is gone.
Hi
This is one of the sites: https://www.staging3.berwynbarns.co.uk/book/
Cookie bar is switched on but not visible to me.
Thanks

In reply to: [Maintenance] it locked me out of my website.Surely if you access your files via ftp, you can disable the plugin by renaming it and your site will be back. Would this not be better as a support request?
And when WP.org is the ONLY way I can get your attention, what else do I do?
This doesn’t solve my issue at all.
Well I’m glad that finally got your attention.
So, the contact form I used (3 times) is here: https://web.little-package.com/plugin/waterwoo-pdf-premium/ Are you seriously saying you never received them?
The issue the site had with positioning and the solution of buying the premium version is on this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/watermark-positioning/
No amount of fiddling with the Y-axis stopped the plugin shifting the watermark onto blank pages. I spent ages messing with it and so did my client. I have absolutely no objection to paying for WordPress plugins, in fact I often choose paid options over free ones because I like to (financially) support WP developers wherever I can.
Now I see you’ve just refunded me and (finally) answered my simple question from August 21. So you did get it then!
My issue was with you not answering support questions, and having to come here to get your attention. Now I’m out of pocket thanks to Stripe fees and the exchange rate and I’ll probably have to buy it all over again because the client needs it and the free plugin will not stamp PDFs correctly any more.
Well beyond p***** off right now.
Thanks for your help. Bizarrely, all but two of the sites were working normally when I checked this morning (CET). Both of those sites were on the same SiteGround package, so I flushed all three master caches and was able to log in again.
Hope this info helps others, and thanks for a great plugin ??
Hi
I’ve managed to get the directory working again by restoring a database backup so I’m back on the old versions of the plugins. However I have to go away this week so I don’t have time to do the fix until next Monday, when I’ll be back in touch through your contact form. Thanks.
