In reply to: [Kadence] Sidebar doubtsThe site is in a development space, but at this link:
LINKthere is a clone even if much more “work in progress”, but in this page you can see well what I mean when I say “fill the space with white” ?? between the sidebar and the content box in so that it looks like a whole body
Tks

In reply to: [Kadence] Sidebar doubtsHi,
with the spacing I can fill the space a little more but the blue void of the background always remains.I had found a solution by drawing a white stripe on the background, but then obviously setting the background as the cover, depending on the length of the page this adapts and doesn’t stay in the same axis for all pages.
If I set it fixed and not scrolling, the strip created does not adapt according to the page but the total background adapts according to the screen and therefore I risk having a wrong view on some screens.
I know the white stripe isn’t the best solution, but I feel I’m close to a good solution ??Solutions to fill the void are welcome ??
For the sidebar I should possibly hide it only on mobile, it will be present in practically all the pages but let’s say that at the moment this is not the most important thing.
Let’s say that to complete the layout I had in mind I should just fill that strip with white and finally I will be able to pass this site to Kadence too ??

In reply to: [Kadence] Sidebar doubtsHi @hannahritner
and thanks for the reply. That of a “make-shift” sidebar was the idea that I had too and in fact I think I will implement it for the Home Page, but the site has more than 100 pages and in some I will need the sidebar, so it would be a nice job going to review them all (it’s a change of theme and I’m also switching to Kadence this other site that I developed a long time ago with another theme).
I thought about changing the background with a vertical white line that would “simulate” filling the space between the content box and the sidebar. Sure it’s not a very professional solution ?? but it could make me reach the goal ??
And if there was another solution to fill that space or hide or give a better look to the sidebar on mobile …. any advice is welcome ??

In reply to: [Kadence] Sidebar doubtsNo reply?
Is there no solution for my questions?
Done ??
LINKThanks again
Perfect, it works.
Thank you very much…TobiasBG and TablePress a guarantee, it is confirmed among the best plugins ever made ??
Thanks, it works and align the elements.
As you can see, however, the effect is different, there is a different alignment (the text is not quite vertically centered with respect to the image) and as if there were larger upper and lower margins.
Can it be achieved as it was before?
Thank you

In reply to: [ColorMag] Site completely destroyed after updateI have already attached the screenshots as I contacted the live chat support, but canned answers and no response from the assistance do not solve the problems, the screenshots are all here…where do we start?
I have extensively explained the problems, which are not just in the layout and settings (which doesn’t make sense we have to totally reset on every update)However I’m already in staging working on a new theme as many I know are doing since it seems that there is no intention of going back and admitting the error of approach with respect to an update approached in a totally wrong way and with no respect for the work of webmasters.
The hope for a repentance is still alive, but with each passing day it seems you have closed yourself in these pre-packaged answers despite the many sites destroyed and the people who don’t know where to turn.
Beyond the options and possible theme change, everyone decides accordingly, what hurts is the “violence” with which webmasters are forced, if they want to continue with Colormag, to go and rearrange the whole site, they advise against use a child theme (what to do instead for good practice) and then? even wanting to do all this work…can anyone guarantee that in a few months they won’t wake up and destroy all the sites again?
Now you can no longer judge if the new theme (which is not an update but a new theme that heavily affects the entire functioning of the site, even on all third-party plugins and not only on theme customizations) is good or not, but precisely in trust in ThemeGrill which is failing given that at any moment they have decided to cancel all the work done on the sites up to now.
I believe that the only solution is to erase the way they approached this disaster… somehow go back to a 2.99 and rewrite the concepts of this new theme and give a Pro license to all webmasters who in the best case are losing their minds, while some are also facing heavy consequences at work level, with customers and companies who have seen their site completely destroyed not only in the layout but also in the plugin functions “blocked” by the theme

In reply to: [ColorMag] SIte broken after last updateHello davidesv … countryman ??
If I see your site now I see it “pretty good” (I don’t know if the shop section is just like that or has a problem).
If so… what did you do? To me the layout comes out completely broken and that “large house” that you see in your screenshot is reproposed several times on the page including things “invented” by the theme.

In reply to: [ColorMag] Site completely destroyed after updateI apologize if I insist but I do it only to make everything better understood:
While updating from the parent theme, all the clean code and making the effort to review everything, even the simple customizations of the other plugins are ignored, such as Max Mega Menu, even the simple positioning of the cookie stricker, the tablepress tables, i.e. the new theme covers everything and forces you to at least go and review the whole site
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [ColorMag] Site completely destroyed after updateI repeat:
the most serious thing is that even by switching to the parent theme (therefore losing even the simple default settings) and deleting the only customization inserted, deleting the two mu-plugins, following the update the WP Customer Area pages do not open anymore, all those modified with Elementor appear with a destroyed layout. In my opinion you made a big mistake, this is not an update, but a new theme in all respects with a totally different and deeply invasive approach even on the behavior of third-party plugins.
Honestly, it almost seems like “violence” on poor webmasters who have to solve unwanted problems.I hope that everything that is happening will make you retrace your steps and review the modalities of this update.
The last hope before changing the theme is that you analyze my site:
fantasvaimec.itand understand what can cause its total destruction since I haven’t changed practically anything
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [ColorMag] Site completely destroyed after updateI wrote to live support..let’s see what we get.
The point is that as I said personally I had only one CSS customization in the child theme and even if I remove it before the update then the site is totally destroyed.
Even switching on the parent theme (and therefore losing all the settings in the standard options) then updating all the pages in Elementor, small CSS ti Tablepress and WP Customer Area no longer work, as if the new Colormag “covered” everything else making it unusable (or in any case forcing a complete review of the whole site) third-party plugins, including customisations of Elementor on fonts, margins, spacing …
Honestly, there are also reflections to make:
it has always been recommended by EVERYONE to use the child theme precisely to avoid upheaval and great damage, now you seem to advise against using the child theme…who assures us that our sites won’t be destroyed again in a next update?
A reliable theme should give a certain continuity, instead these days speaking also with colleagues the most common argument among those who use Colormag for some sites is which alternative theme to use.Even if I wanted to rebuild the whole layout again, the new theme also interrupted the functionality of some third-party plugins, the most important of all for me being WP Customer Area which basically no longer works.
Now my site is online with a rollback to before the update:
fantasvaimec.itCan you take a look and understand what could cause the total destruction of the site since as far as I’m concerned I haven’t made any major changes to the Child theme?
Thank you
Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [ColorMag] Site completely destroyed after updateI also add that Tablepress which has simple custom CSS in its settings…this doesn’t work anymore.
I’m stopping because I fear that the more I go on the more problems are found, so I hope you take some steps back because the site cannot be completely re-adapted since so many plugins no longer work
