I have been browsing around the forum and found a suggestion for someone with a similar problem to check permalinks: make sure day and time was checked (mine still was), and then click update settings. After I clicked update settings I went back to my blog and a few more posts had reappeared – the top post is now mid-October. Does anyone have any ideas? I am afraid to install a back-up if not necessary, plus that might not solve the underlying problem. Thank you!

OK, it is all really gone. If I click on the archives for January 2009 it gives me a 404 error.

UPDATE FOR ANYONE WITH SIMILAR PROBLEM: I think it was the Snoopy vulnerability which was hopefully cured by upgrading to 2.6.3. When I upgraded, the link disappeared from the blog, but was still hidden in the database. We deleted it from there using phpmyadmin. Hopefully this is resolved now. Thank you whooami!

Thanks so much for your help. I was actually just online trying to get my server logs from my host. I know that they are easily downloadable via cpanel, but I have a Mac and it can’t unzip that file type. I am working on that, and contacting security at my host to see if they have anything more.

I’ll try and get the logs to archive (and be readable by me!).

I am very interested in your ideas. I want to stop this, and hopefully help seal up any leak that might affect others too.

The gap is not between the posts, it is between the text of the post and the comment form. You have to click on the post itself as if you were going to comment to see the gap. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Thanks for trying. At your suggestion, I took neo flags off, but the blog was bad for me all evening and I think the real problem was a plugin (Share This). I disabled it and it seems fast now.

Last night I upgraded from 2.5 (where the problem first appeared) to 2.6.1 and email notification works again now.

I am finding the same thing and it is very annoying. This never happened until I upgraded to 2.5.1.

Is there any fix for this?

Me too – box is ticked and I received emails until I switched to 2.5. Now no email.
