In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Premium…Hi @enerylan,
Thanks for your review.
You can definitely optimize your website and achieve great results with the free version of Yoast SEO. The main features of the plugin are available in both the free and premium versions:?XML sitemaps, content and readability analysis, Google preview, social media optimization, canonical URLs, breadcrumbs, schema markup,?etc.
Obviously, Yoast SEO free doesn’t come with the premium features that Yoast SEO Premium includes; however, you may not need them as Yoast SEO free perfectly suits the average user’s needs.

We’re still investigating this issue; however, we haven’t been able to reproduce it yet, which makes it challenging to find a solution. While we’re unable to replicate it, we rely on our users and the information they provide to diagnose the problem.
In this regard, if you have a staging site where you can run tests, we’d kindly ask you to provide the following information (when you have time):

- Were you able to identify a conflicting plugin or theme? If so, what plugin/theme was conflicting?
- Did any Yoast-related errors/notices appear in the server’s error log (debug.log)?

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Good plugin, annoying notificationsHi @lobster01,
Thanks for your review and for using Yoast SEO for years.
Yoast SEO displays a limited set of ads/notifications in specific areas in the backend. For example, when you move a post to trash, Yoast SEO will show a notification suggesting you create a redirect to avoid a 404 error on the deleted URL. This notification will go away when you refresh the page or, alternatively, you can close it by just clicking the X icon in the upper right-hand corner.
These types of ads shouldn’t prevent you from using the plugin normally. If you delete several posts in bulk, you should receive only one notification. If you receive multiple notifications, you’re probably affected by this bug. Feel free to comment on the bug report with additional information, e.g. do the multiple notifications only appear for a given custom post type or for all post types?
Thanks!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast 20.9+ still unusableThanks for creating a new topic, @danniee001 I know how frustrating it’s when something doesn’t work as expected after a plugin update. In order to better assist you, we’d appreciate it if you could answer the following questions:
- Are you running the latest version of WordPress, your theme and plugins?
- Is the problem still the same after clearing your browser/site/server cache? This help article explains how to clear your WordPress cache.
- Does the problem occur if you use another browser (i.e. Chrome or Firefox) or when you enable incognito/private mode?
- Does the problem occur when all non-Yoast plugins are disabled and the theme is on a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Two?
Please test point 4) on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
@melisaciputra to assist you more effectively, please create a new topic and provide the above information.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Last update broken the pluginHi @danniee001,
Thanks for your review.
I am sorry to read you’ve been experiencing problems with Yoast SEO. I know how concerning it’s when a plugin doesn’t work as expected after an update.
As you correctly pointed out, several users experienced a blank Yoast meta box after updating Yoast SEO to 20.9. In most cases we’ve looked at, users managed to fix the problem by either:
- Clearing the server/site/browser cache as explained in this help article
- Disabling/updating a conflicting plugin/theme. For example, in a couple of cases, the conflict was caused by an old version of Divi, and users fixed the problem by updating to the most recent version of Divi. If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
If you decide to use Yoast SEO again in the future and the problem persists after checking the above, we’d appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.
Thanks!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Something happened@danniee001 I’m sorry to hear clearing the browser cache didn’t fix the issue for you. Do you have any CDN or any other service that caches JS files? If so, can you please try clearing its cache and check if the problem resolves?
@alias79 Thanks for your nice words. Yeah, several users are experiencing a blank meta box after updating to Yoast SEO 20.9. It’s still unclear the root cause, so we’re still investigating.
Were you able to perform a conflict check using the Health Check and Troubleshooting plugin? It’d be a great help if you could let us know if the problem occurs in troubleshooting mode with all non-Yoast plugins disabled and the Twenty Twenty-Two active.
Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Yoast SEO] javascript errorsThanks for your answers, @superandreescu! If the problem doesn’t occur in troubleshooting mode, it’s probably caused by a conflict with another plugin or theme.
While in troubleshooting mode, can you please try enabling one plugin at a time until the problem occurs? This way, you’ll be able to identify the conflicting plugin.
If you activate all your plugins (in troubleshooting mode) and the problem still doesn’t occur, please switch your theme (from a default WordPress theme) to your theme and check again if the problem occurs. If the problem only arises when your theme is active, it means it’s the conflict with your theme.
Let us know if you’re able to identify the conflicting plugin/theme.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] javascript errorsThanks for following up, @superandreescu. Just to confirm,
- Did the problem still occur in troubleshooting mode when Yoast SEO is the only plugin active and your theme is on Twenty Twenty-Two?
- Did clearing your browser cache and cookies or using another browser make any difference?
