    Hello Andrew:

I wanted to alert you to a problem I encountered with your plugin. After installing I noticed all of the retail prices on the site reverted to whole amounts. All of our products are priced at $xx.95, but with your plugin active they were revised to $xx.00.

I’m using the latest versions of WordPress and WooCommerce, and I use the UDesign theme. I don’t know why it would affect prices, but when I deactivated your plugin the prices corrected.

Perhaps this is a good problem to have for future development.

    Thank you.

    Thank you.

On your Browser Cache Settings, do you have “Prevent caching of objects after settings change” enabled? I had to disable that for my Woo store. Whenever I add or revise a product, the category update is immediate.

Did you remove the CSS/JS specific to Woo and your child theme from Minify? If you didn’t do that, it could break your site. That’s the first step.

I’m still not sure about your Browser Cache settings. If I could see them I could offer suggestions. That said, send me an email at [email protected] and I’ll attach screen shots of my settings.

    Thank you.

This is my robots.txt file. I have W3TC enabled and the site is mobile friendly. I’m not suggesting this will work for you, but for my site it works well.

Looking at your site doesn’t tell me anything about your W3TC settings. I need to know what you have enabled. Make a list of everything and post it.

My first suggestion would be to remove all CSS/JS specific to Woo and your child theme from Minify. Try that first and clear the cache. Try adding products to the cart.

Regarding the expires header setting, what is the expires header lifetime for each (CSS/JS, HTML, Media) and what cache control policy are you using for each?

It might be best for you to take a screen shot of your browser settings and upload somewhere I can see it.

The Mobile Friendly Test and Page Speed Insights are two entirely different tests. The Mobile Friendly Test is scanning your robots file to ensure the site can be crawled. If you haven’t adjusted your robots file to allow Google to crawl the site, then you’ll get a “Not Mobile Friendly” result.

I verified everything I mentioned through the Google Webmaster Forums. I posted a question and the response I got from there is the same I’m posting here.

    Thanks.

I didn’t read all of the info regarding this method, but I was wondering if that would work with CSS that isn’t minified. In my case, there are CSS specific to Woo Commerce that can’t be minified because doing so breaks the site. My site still scores well in Google Page Speed, but the mobile version speed score is affected because of the render blocking CSS I mentioned.

I’d like to know more. If it’s possible to asynchronously load the CSS I don’t have minified, that would be worth trying.

    Thanks.

I have a Woo Commerce site that is functioning very well with W3TC. However, I don’t have Database or Object Cache enabled. I do have Minify enabled, but the CSS and JS specific to Woo have to be omitted. I tried minifying the Woo CSS and JS, but it broke the site.

I have the Set Expires Header enabled in the Browser Cache settings, but don’t know why that is causing you problems. Perhaps you can provide more information about your theme, child theme, hosting, CDN, etc. I’ll try to help you.

Depending upon your theme, whether you have a child theme, your hosting, CDN and other factors, there isn’t a “one size fits all” solution. That said, I have a Woo Commerce site that scores very well with Google, GT Metrix, Pingdom and Web Page Test.

Perhaps you can provide more information regarding your site. I’ll try to help you based on your reply.

I figured out the problem. You were absolutely right. I forgot to update the child theme functions file. Thanks for shoving me in the right direction.

Thanks for your reply. The theme never caused an issue with the previous versions, so I don’t understand why now. I’ve been using the same theme, child theme and functions.php for nearly two years. That doesn’t make any sense. But thank you again for replying.

I’m having the same problem and can’t figure it out. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

@sara – I submitted a ticket at Woo and the plugin author addressed the matter quickly. I updated the plugin and that took care of the problem, but ONLY if a customer had ONE item in the shopping cart. For whatever reason, if a customer puts two or more items in the cart, Smartpost rates will not populate.

I have noticed when attempting to set up shipments within my FedEx account where there are two or more items being shipped that Smartpost rates don’t populate. That’s not a plugin problem, that problem originates with FedEx.

I contacted FedEx web services and the lady I spoke with copped an attitude with me, so I’m in the process of setting up an account with UPS.

I realize this doesn’t help you much, but that’s the situation as it applies to me.

I haven’t updated to the newest version of Woo. I’m using 2.0.20 and the FedEx plugin version I’m using is 3.2.4, at least until I get my UPS account going.
