I figured it out – it was because on the dev page at twitter, I failed to include a callback url. Thanks for your response!

I’m having this problem too. I also signed my consumer key and consumer secret, and the plug in wants authorization. I clicked the blue authorize new account button, and it says, response from twitter not recognized. I logged out, and tried to update on several different web browsers in case it was a cache problem Nothing.

Anyone got a fix?
