Sorry for false alarm, I have it working now. I reset all other plugins and slowly came back to it. Now prints a page which is a big image so all fine now – thanks

Just trying this today and have same problem.
Seems this has been open for 2 months so a fix may not be as easy as first thought?

I have just loaded v2.2.9 as I have a specific redirection I wish to tryout. I used to use this plugin a couple of years ago and found it very useful at that time.
However, like mpturner I am confused as to what one has to do with the setup. The plugin documentation which is for v2.2.5 looks like the one I remember before with all the various setup aids. Now there is nothing – have I missed something? John says that there are no longer ant setup options – does this go for the Apache setup as well?
Sorry but I’m totally confused and would be grateful if someone could put me on the right path.

I have just realized that mine has died as well and the above fixes didn’t fix it. Maybe this should not be flagged as resolved?
I should also add that mine died after moving to WP 3.2.1 today, all previous WP updates didn’t affect it.

Don’t think it is to do with W3-total-cache as I get same errors on my sites which don’t use it…….
[20-Nov-2010 08:54:02] WordPress database error MySQL server has gone away for query SELECT option_value FROM cc_options WHERE option_name = ‘feedwordpress_freshness’ LIMIT 1 made by shutdown_action_hook, do_action, call_user_func_array, feedwordpress_auto_update, FeedWordPress->stale, get_option.
It looks like it happens on a weekly basis and I think most probably due to hosting maintenance. I use Hostgator which I find is great and I live with these outages which although look really bad last for a matter of seconds only.

I too have been having these errors on a number of my sites and agrre that I don’t remember seeing them a few months ago. In order to see if it was an 2.8.x upgrade problem I rebuilt one of them from scratch using the latest 2.8.6.
I am also using various templates so don’t believe it it tied to the theme design.
The others have all been upgraded through all the upgrades from 2.7 so not sure when the problem occured but suspect this last summertime.
Not being a programmer I will rely on those wizards who are and keep looking at this post for a future solution

Sorry [email protected] I would have loved your solution to work however I’m now running WordPress 2.8. and they have changed the widget.php file.
It’s now less that 1,300 lines and the code identified is no longer there.

Whilst trying various google searches on this specific failure I can across this forum site where this exact problem was identified by Daniel Schoonover – https://code.openx.org/issues/show/22
I followed his events and managed to get advertising manager working as he did.
The main difference that I can see in mine is that my original adsense manager was at 3.3.3 whereas I now uploaded and installed my original adsense manager 3.2.13. Could this indicate where the original problem lay?

Hi switzer, I have number of sites and have delayed the upgrade tp advertising manager because of all the previous problem identified here.
I now have tried to install on my easiest site and have hit the same problem that vkfrainbow: had previously ie on activation I get the following
Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::get() in /home/xxxx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/advertising-manager/class-upgrade.php on line 203
I am running WP 2.7.1 with PHP 5.1.30.
Adsense Manager – 3.3.3 Advertising Manager – 3.3.18
Problem occures with adsense manager inactivated and also deleted.
I deactivated my 4 plugins – akismet,headspace2,ultimate google analytics, wp limited posts automatically.
change the theme to WP default theme.
I have to delete the Advertising Manager files in order to recover the site.
Really can’t think what else I can do now – please help…
