Update to my issue:
I’m not exactly sure what was wrong, but I contacted my host thinking it might be a cache problem that they could clear or fix. I explained my problem to the tech person and they said they added some code to the htaccess file to fix the error. I have no idea what that code was, but it seems to be working fine now. *shrug* I think I’m all good now as far as I can tell.
Thank you for the previous response,
ChristinaHi there Mark,
Thanks for the quick response. I did as you suggested and enabled debugging. The only message I get is this: /home/harpless/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cart66-cloud-members/includes/class-cm-cart66-members.php on line 42
I tried disabling that plugin too in case that was the problem but it did not affect anything. For some reason the only way to view recently edited or new products is to disable Really Simple SSL. I did check just now and I CAN see the product pages that I created before installing Really Simple SSL. If I edit those and publish them, I get 500 errors. If I create a new product, I get sent to the home page when I try to view the new product page.
Do you happen to have any other ideas I can try? I did also test for theme conflicts but I did not have any that I could find. And the only thing I see in the logs is what I posted here. I also checked the WooCommerce logs but I didn’t see anything there either. I’m stumped!
Thanks for the help,

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Error 404 pages after upgrade to 5.0.2Just an update on my 404 situation – I could not find a solution so I just took the previous version from my backups and reinstalled those. They work as they should. They are both versions 5.0.1 of The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO. Hopefully there will be a fix for this in future updates.

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Error 404 pages after upgrade to 5.0.2I am also getting 404 errors on my client’s site. He just updated the plugins to 5.0.2 (The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar PRO both to version 5.0.2). The 404 errors are happening when you click on event details and when you click on Week view. All other views work besides Week view. You can not view any events past or future without getting a 404 error. This continues to happen when I change themes too. Any ideas as to why this would be happening?

Just wanted to say thanks for posting the fix for this! It worked for me when the popup wouldn’t trigger on the click event.
Thank you again,
ChristinaI am having this exact same issue. My Modal Windows settings are just like polytechpub has theirs.
You will see the contents of the modal window popup before the rest of the page does for just a second. It shows for a longer amount of time in slower browsers like my older version of IE that I use for testing.
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Did you happen to solve this issue on your own, @polytechpub?
Thank you in advance for any advice and assistance.
@danieliser I tried out several settings for the popup conditions to try and make it work but nothing affected it. Currently I have no conditions so there shouldn’t be a problem there I wouldn’t think. I had that thought too – like maybe I didn’t have the conditions right so that’s why it wasn’t showing up. That doesn’t seem to be the case though. Here’s a link to the screenshot of the popup’s condition settings so you can double check it just to make I’m not doing something wrong.

@yogaman5020 @danieliser Thank you both for the replies and I apologize for not responding sooner. I was trying to figure out some more info on the problem before responding. I still haven’t figured out why the popups work everywhere except for the home page, but I feel it’s most likely a theme template issue. I found out that the theme was a custom creation by a business that doesn’t seem to be doing this sort of thing anymore, so I am unable to contact them. They appear to have used Twig to create the templates which I know nothing about. I had to Google Twig to find out what it was. I suspected the footer to be the problem since I also do not have a WP admin bar showing up at the top of the page even though I am signed in. Their footer.php file is also setup very strange. I assume this is because they used Twig to create the template files. There is no closing body or html tags in the footer.php though I do see they exist when I view the source in Chrome.
I also checked for Javascript errors but I only had this one: Uncaught DOMException: Blocked a frame with origin “https://www.google.com” from accessing a cross-origin frame. at <anonymous>:1:15
And that error is on the pages that work properly with the popup too so I assume it has nothing to do with it.I can tell this though from viewing the source on the home page – it appears that the popup doesn’t exist at all even though I have it setup to work on that page in the popup settings. When I check for Javascript errors in Chrome, there’s the section that’s titled “Popups Initializing.” There is nothing that shows up there. On the pages with the popup that works, it will list the popup right there. So maybe it’s being blocked or something on the home page? I’m not sure if that’s the correct way of wording it but the popup definitely doesn’t seem to exist somehow. Have you heard of that happening before? Or am I just cursed with a crazy template that’s screwing it up?
Thanks for all the advice on this. It’s greatly appreciated.
After further research, I think my issue may be due to the theme not having a proper footer.php. I didn’t notice that before posting. I have to disable the “Learn More” link that’s supposed to show the popup on the Blog/Home page for now due to client request since it’s currently not working. I have a question about the wp_footer issue since I couldn’t find any more info in the documentation. If my footer.php file doesn’t have a body tag, how would I add the <?php wp_footer(); ?> line to the footer.php file? Do I need to make another footer.php file?
Thank you for your time on this issue.
@malihu I was thinking it had to do with the sticky header somehow, but I couldn’t figure out exactly how to fix it. Thank you so much for all the help. I’m very grateful for the fast responses and the detailed explanations on the fixes. Heading over now to give you a 5-star review. ??
Thanks so much for all the help. I am impressed by the quick and awesome support on this! The development version you sent does fix the issue. Thank you for sharing that. I do have one more question if I may. If you go the url: https://dpnetadmin.wpengine.com/ and then click Contact Us or Donate in the main navigation, there’s a bit of a stutter before it scrolls to the correct section. This only seems to happen when the page is first loaded. If you click those links again after that, it scrolls perfectly. Do you know if there’s any way to fix that weird stutter when the page first loads? It almost looks like it tries to instantly go to the section, then jumps back up at the top of the screen and scrolls down like it should.
Thanks again for the great support!
Hello there,
I’m having a similar problem on this site: https://dpnetadmin.wpengine.com/
The Contact Us link and Donate button in the main navigation are supposed to scroll down to those elements tagged on that page. For some reason they do not work on the Home page but they do work from the “Artist Submissions” page. Do I also have a problem with Selectors? What other info can I give you that would help you figure it out?
Thanks for the reply. I kept wondering if I just wasn’t seeing it in WordPress, or if it was even a viewable item at all from the WordPress Dashboard. Good to know. I personally think it would be a nice feature to add in the future.
Thanks again for the help!

In reply to: [Event Registration] Payment not posting when made via PayPalI am having a similar problem. When someone clicks the Pay Now button just after registering for an event, the button does nothing. It does not take them to PayPal. But when they get the email reminder to pay, click the link, and then click the Pay Now button…that DOES work. So why does it work when going through the email but not on the site right after registering?
