Glad to see I am not the only one who cannot fathom why this change was made. What a regressive step.

I have exactly the same concern. This assumption “The argument against is “people know how to alt-click!” ” is a bit presumptuous in my opinion. Don’t assume users know this or even care.

Update. I just used Get It with YouTube this morning and it worked. So perhaps it was a glitch with my site/browser last night. I will mark this as resolved.

Forget the comment on not being able to use the YouTube block in a post. YouTube generated an incorrect sharing code to embed. But I still can’t use Get It for YouTube.

With articles it still works. It is odd because I just tried embedding a video in a WordPress post using the YouTube block and it would not work. It did work using the Embed block. Almost seems like something funky is going on with YouTube.

I logged the issue with NextGen Gallery but heard nothing back. I solved the problem by removing the plugin and replacing it with the Gallery Block. Not the exact same functionality but it works for my needs.

I figured out the issue. It was with Font Awesome. I had to make the following changes in the Font Awesome settings:

Font Awesome settings
o Version 5.5
o Enable v4 shims compatibility

This fixed the issue.

Thank you. Agree it would make sense as a paid option. It would certainly induce me to go for the paid route which I tend to do if a plugin is mission critical for my business.

I did run the update on my development server and all seems well but your mileage may differ.

I have held off updating it as it still shows as not compatible with 5.5 and I believe according to the support boards there have been some issues.

I may try with my development server this week if no update.
