In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] CMTooltip bug reportOn solo (non-multisite) Oxygen builder domain (https://bioresonant.com), the h1 headers are not parsed for glossary items, no matter what CMTooltip settings I choose. h2 headers are parsed fine.
When I choose “highlight the first occurrence” , h1 headers are ignored in parsing, but everything else works as expected. Glossary terms that appear in h1 are ignored in h1, but their first non-h1 occurrence is parsed elsewhere.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] CMTooltip bug reportI tried your setup several times and it does not work for me. Glossary terms that are in h1 are ignored when the first occurrence is selected. I double checked CMTootip settings on individual pages too.
There must be some conflict somewhere. I use Elementor Pro on my website.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] CMTooltip bug reportif I choose “Highlight first term occurrence only” H1 headers are not only ignored, but glossary terms that they contain are IGNORED for the rest of the page. No matter what other settings I choose. New Exclude settings have no effect in this situation.
So, “Highlight first term occurrence only” option is USELESS if H1 contains any glossary term, because such glossary term is very important on the page.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] CMTooltip bug reportI could not find settings that you are talking about. “Avoid parsing protected tags” setting disappeared, but there are no new settings.
The issue remains: when “highlight first occurrence” option is set, glossary terms that appear in headings are completely ignored, no matter what other settings are.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] CMTooltip bug report“Avoid parsing protected tags” H1 setting seems to be set AUTOMATICALLY when I choose “first instance only” option with no option to change this setting. Not only that. Glossary terms that happen to be in the H1 heading are EXCLUDED from parsing for the rest of the page.
Since glossary terms that are in H1 headings are the most important on a given page, the “first instance only” option as it is at the moment becomes useless if glossary term appears in the H1 heading.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] Glossary pages loads in endless loopAstra released update to 4.1.5 . When I tried to update – the update failed, system went to maintenance mode and when it returned, CMTooltip plugin functionality is altered in headers H1 on some pages regardless of CMTooltip settings.
The system says that the update failed, but when I request core update – it tells that all themes and plugins are up to date.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] Glossary pages loads in endless loopI am an experienced CM Tooltip user for several years (>10 websites). I made sure that options that you suggested are already set as you suggested, along with all other options.
Still, on some pages – tooltips do not show for no apparent reason. Can you please let me know what I need to do to help debug the problem? I am a programmer since 1975.
BTW. Before I upgraded CMTooltip plugin to the latest version, tooltips were showing nicely on my homepage and /services/ page…
Should I try to install an older version? I assume that new settings will not be altered. I have versions 4.2.2 and 4.2.3 .
Downgraded to 4.2.3 and now everything works super perfectly. This hint should help you to diagnose the situation and improve compatibility of CMTooltip plugin. ??

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] Glossary pages loads in endless loopI am sure that your plugin will work on a clean website without other plugins. But I cannot use a website without any plugins. If there are some conflicts, there should be some error messages from CMTooltip plugin somewhere. An optional logfile would also help. Maybe a debug setting that sends things to logfile for some selected page?
My website uses Elementor Pro as a page builder and I try my best to minimize the number of plugins. I forgot to tell you that I enabled “trash” native functionality in WordPress, so deleting a glossary term (or anything else) is a 2-step process.
I noticed that tooltips do not appear on some pages like for example homepage https://chargebay.com.au/ or https://chargebay.com.au/services/ for no apparent reason. I checked all individual page settings in WP block editor and they all use CMTooltip global settings. In previous versions of CMTooltip plugin – these pages displayed tooltips nicely and no additional plugins have been added since then.
I like functionality of the CMTooltip plugin, but I consider it “touchy” and I “sensitive” to other activities on the website.
Would upgrading CMTooltip plugin to Pro provide better compatibility with Elementor Pro?
Thank you for your help

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] Glossary pages loads in endless loopI gave up trying to repair and restore CMTooltip and restored database backup from 10 May when everything was working. I need a working website, not the one that displays garbage at tooltips even when there is no glossary item defined.
You can try to reproduce this as follows: enter a glossary term that has a definition ~3 pages long – 5k of text. Wait an hour and delete this looong glossary item. The removal of this long item seems to cause some damage to the database. Resetting CMTootip and removing the plugin does not repair the damage to the database. Restoration of database backup is the only solution.
CMTooltip is a nice idea – it is very useful and likeable. Maybe you should enforce some length limit to glossary definitions to minimize the chance of database damage.

In reply to: [CM Tooltip Glossary] Glossary pages loads in endless loopI tried to “reset all options” and behavior did not change at all. I may have accidentally checked the option “Move tooltip contents to footer?” but unchecking this option seems to have no effect. I also downloaded the plugin from this website and installed it, overwriting the existing one. No change in behavior. Still my static glossary page as well as the main page show no tooltips

In reply to: [WooCommerce] version 7.7.0 creates errors in “homeThank you for your help.
I struggle to access wc_admin_notes table and address the coupon issue. This issue does not alter WC functionality, but spams the WP dashboard screen.
I think that WCommerce should modify its own database, not me…

In reply to: [WooCommerce] version 7.7.0 creates errors in “homeI scanned WP core files and found hundred or so errors like this:
May 10 2023 07:56:06
{“type”:8192,”message”:”Return type of WCPay\Core\Server\Response::offsetUnset($offset) should either be compatible with ArrayAccess::offsetUnset(mixed $offset): void, or the #[\ReturnTypeWillChange] attribute should be used to temporarily suppress the notice”,”file”:”\/home\/chargebaycom\/public_html\/wp-content\/plugins\/woocommerce-payments\/includes\/core\/server\/class-response.php”,”line”:70}in file
public_html/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage/error.log
Could there be some incompatibilities of WC with all-in-one-wp-migration plugin?

In reply to: [WooCommerce] version 7.7.0 creates errors in “homeHi Peter
I downloaded the 7.7.0 directly from this website and installed it. At first there appeared some glitches, but situation improved when I updated the Woocommerce database, which took a while.
The remaining 7.7.0 glitch is that I cannot remove the “legacy coupon menu”. Clicking on the remove button has no effect, the button persistently reappears again. Woo functionality seems ok.
