Hi everyone, we rolled back to a previous version of Rank Math as we had the same problem but recently updated to the latest assuming it would be fixed. Assume it hasn’t yet been fixed though as the problem still exists?

Hi everyone (including @hmnvtn given you had the same issue)

Sorry to continue this thread here as I know this is not a GB or GP issue but seems to be the same thing has happend with v5.7.1 and now can no longer “convert to regular blocks” so cannot easily save a completely new resuable block to replace the old.

I’ve also tried creating a completely new reusable clock from scratch and that too doesn’t work – i.e. cannot save changes.

This doesn’t apply to a post that doesn’t have any reusable blocks – these simple posts save just fine so definately an issue with reusable blocks.

Has anyone else seen this yet / know how to fix?

Hmm weird, so maybe not a generate blocks issue. Thanks @hmnvtn let me know if you find any resolution. I’ve asked a developer to look at it for me as I’m just too unskilled.

I’ll try saving completely new reusable blocks and seeing if that fixes the issue!

Doesn’t look like there are any errors in the console tab. I can’t see where to upload the capture let me know if you still want to see it?

So two things are happening when we’re starting a new draft post, adding a resuable block and and making changes:

1) None of the changes to the draft post are saved at all. So if we exit and reopen the draft, all the changes are gone. Also, when we hit “save” it says that the post has saved but if you try close the tab, we see the “Leave site?” changes may not be saved pop up

2) Super weirdly, some of the changes made in the draft post are saved back to the resuable block itself. So if we go to “manage resuable blocks” and open the reusable block we used in the draft post, some of the changes are there.

I asked our hosting provider to look into it, they said there’s no conflicts between plugins so are stumped!

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

Sorry I never got back to you Tom, this seems to have resolved itself with various plugin upgrades.
