Following up: Turns out my host [allegedly] did not have WF ip’s whitelisted. Sounds fishy since I was able to run a manual scan back on the 19th. Que Sara Sara; it’s working again!

In reply to: [JBST] radio button – checkout pageHi Bass,
I came back to post the screenshot as requested and found your css snippet above. Worked great – Thank you!
No matter how much I dug into this using firebug, I couldn’t track down the issue. Being a novice, doesn’t help! ??
And you’re correct, this issue will likely be seen on most any bootstrap based theme. As I said earlier…
I feel certain this is a CSS issue only, as it displays the same when using my own, rather lame, bootstrap based theme… any boostrap based theme I’ve tried, does the same thing.
Kudos to you sir, for looking into it. And, for providing the CSS to fix it. The essence of FOSS, at work… and thriving.
All the best,

In reply to: [Responsive] How can I modify H2/Widget borders? This video will give you a solid, down and dirty tutorial, on hacking both css and html of the Responive theme…
Modeators Note: If this is not allowed, pardon me taking the liberty of sharing it.
I’m new so, this may not be correct, or the ‘best’ way. But, I’m looking at doing the same for my site too. Looking at the code using firebug and also looking at the footer.php file; it appears it’ll require modifying the footer.php itself. Using a child theme, copy the file into your child themes folder so any hacks you make, aren’t lost when they release an update to the theme base.
The way it’s written, it uses 3 ‘.col-300 blocks’ – Changing that (rewriting that portion of the footer.php file) to use only 2 ‘.col-460 blocks’ is how I intend to tackle this.
That doesn’t answer your question but, perhaps it’ll give you some direction. Once I do it for my site, I’ll come back and post the results.
Good luck!

In reply to: [Responsive] Remove in-page navigation lineDid you find your answer yet?
If not, go to Appearance > Theme Options > Theme Elements. There, you’ll check the box to disable “Breadcrumbs.”
Save your changes and confirm they’re gone.

In reply to: wp.com theme > self-hosted siteYou’re reply was not misconstrued, my friend. Motif is a nice theme. It’s not completely out of the picture for me to use, just yet. I understand too; if I go that route, keeping up with updates Automattic releases will be soley my responsibility, in the interim.
After doing more research, I learned of the possibility of using SVN. Looking at the ‘updater.php’ file, I gleaned WPCom_Theme_Updater from it. That search led me to a post on www.ads-software.com, talking about using SVN.
For posterity sake, here is a link to that discussion.
