We tried to create a refund without entering quantities and we obtain the following result:

As you can see, in this credit note we have total amount equals to 0, the date of the credit note and the notes missing.

While, the credit notes with the issue appear as follow: https://dumpshare.net/images/5312480creditnoteissue.PNG

As you can see, here there is both date, notes and the amount equals to the negative value of the product.
How can we obtain a similar behavior? If we speculate that the amount and the notes have been written manually, what’s about the date?

Hi! Instead of wp_woocommerce_order_items, could you check the wp_posts table for a record with ID 8490 and check the post_type field?

We found the order in the wp_posts table.
The wp_posts table contains a record with the following values:
ID: 8490, POST_TYPE: shop_order_refund, POST_STATUS: wc-completed, POST_PARENT: 7590
This problem is “half-solved” because the pdf document is related to the POST_PARENT.

We realized that we had another problem the includes the first one. Pratically it seems that some orders results refunded automatically (without user’s action). How is it possible?
When this problem occurs, we have the following situation.
For example, consider the aforesaid order (posts.id=8490 and posts.post_parent=7590).
The table wp_posts contains these 2 records (id=8490 and id=7590);
The table wp_woocommerce_order_items contains only 1 record which is that related to the “parent” (order_id = 7590);
The table wp_wcpdf_invoice_number contains only 1 record which is that related to the “child” (order_id = 8490).
Now:
The invoice pdf document contains the related products
while the credit notes pdf document doesn’t show any products.

Can you explain what you mean by this?
Pratically we have an invoice linked to an inexistent order.

The table wp_wcpdf_invoice_number contains the following record:
ID: 2018, ORDER_ID: 8490, DATE: 2018-07-12 16:00
The table wp_woocommerce_order_items doesn’t contains any records with that value (8490) in the “ORDER_ID” column.
Note: the orders id in that time (from the begin of july 2018) are in the order of 30XXX (5 digits – for instance 30013), so the “8490” value seems doesn’t follow the sequential numbering.

Is it possible this order was deleted? Or perhaps a refund order? When you create a refund, WooCommerce creates a new order internally with negative amounts – on the frontend you only see one order.

We think that it’s not a refund because we can’t find the related credit note (in woocommerce -> refunds) and there isn’t any pdf document related to that invoice.
For the same reason (there isn’t pdf document in filesystem), we believe that the order hasn’t been deleted.

It’s an issue with a critical severity because it occured in production environment.

some update here.
About my first problem I solved.
Now we have the same problem of @bplanchee. Pratically we have an invoice linked to an inexistent order. Furthermore the order_id’s value doesn’t respect the sequential value of the others orders (its value is very lower in relation to the date on which it was created).

Have you some advices about?

Hi,
searching the invoices with number from 1794 to 1799 i found nothing. So i think that the invoices with this numbers not is generated.

In case of bulk export with wich logic the plug in gave the invoices numbers?

Yes, even the 1777 order was related to paypal. But the filed “PayPal identity token” is empty so i think we use only the IPN type.

If the number of invoices to be canceled has already been exceeded, can it be done in any way?

In the back end we generated an invoices for a failured order, how can we eliminated that?

Allora, scusami la domanda stupida.
Come mai tutti gli ordini precedenti e postumi a quei giorni vengono generati solo con fattura mentre alcuni ordini di quei giorni sono stati generati con ricevuta?

Infatti nelle impostazioni del plug in è impostato solo fattura, la possibilità di ricevuta non è nemmeno abilitata.
Nonostante questo sono state emesse delle ricevute nelle date prima descritte.
