thanks for getting back to me. as mentioned i have reverted back to an older version of the plugin simply because there were too many changes that effected the look of my sliders. i had quite a bit of custom css controlling the elements and all of this was broken.

so i will be keeping the older version from now on.

it would be good for future updates to try and make it more backward compatible.

nevermind – the syntax is actually correct – i had simply not copied it over to the secondary email which is where i was getting the error.

i ended up using a different extension plugin that allowed me to simply add a single line to auto populate the field with the post title.

i have to admit i have built some very complicated sites without any PHP knowledge as a result of all of the amazing plugins available. even some paid plugins are so much cheaper than hiring a programmer. WordPress and its resources really is incredible.

but you are right – some PHP knowledge would definitely be a benefit rather than relying on finding the right plug-in all the time. plus also helping to debug when something goes wrong.

thanks for the direction. that is a little beyond me unfortunately. not sure how to integrate the code to my front end form – ie how to call the post name to fill in a specific field – plus i would like it to auto fill even if user is not logged in.

i do not know enough PHP to figure this out. i will see if there is another plugin available for PHP idiots ??

hello cicino – if you want one that allows for multiple stickies – this is a great plugin from codecanyon. it allowed me to create 5 separate stickies on one single-page website.

hello – that is what i am referring to – the selectable list of items. i have seen these styled before and have read articles on how to target them. but nothing i have tried works.

my line spacing on the link i posted is very small and i am trying to increase it. there must be a way.

EDIT: i can seem to modity just one element – font-size – using custom id and the following:

#state-drop-down option {
line-height: 39px !important;
font-size: 20px !important;
}

but it ignores all other css – such as padding, margins, line-height.

ok – i have found a workaround. it seems the import was having problems with my theme – Avada.

so when exporting the last time, i ticked:
Do not export media library (files)
Do not export themes (files)

i then manually copied over all my images and theme folders to the staging folder.

then i imported the All in One import file and the site works a treat.

i actually feel more comfortable doing it this way as it reduces the import file considerably and it is much easier to copy of the physical files using FTP.

i have tried a number of times and the file seems to import ok – about 210MB – i assume this is uploading it?

then it changes to ‘restoring’ but then it always hangs on this stage at about 24-27%

is this still a time-out issue once it gets to the restore stage?

i have not made and find/replace changes.

hello – having the same issue – hung at 27% for 5 hrs – finally cancelled the import and had to restore from an installatron backup.

with regards to the find/replace – is it not meant to be used to change all references to the staging site??
