Perfect! I had perused your site but couldn’t find this tip on there. Thanks so much for making this awesome plugin!!!
Thank you!
… wait! Never mind! I think I’ve resolved this through clicking the tiny “tags” option above each field in the preview mode — turns out the fields start numbering at “0” so {field_id=”2″} is actually the comment field : ).
Thanks for the quick reply! I’ll head on to that forum in a sec, but can you first tell me any keywords I should mention there? I wrote this here because Piwik was working before, just it doesn’t seem to be now and the only way I access it is via the WP plugin for it, so it seemed that was what was breaking…

In reply to: Download failed. Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)For the record, Jonathan’s great. He just spent the past little bit digging around my HG account trying to figure out what’s wrong. I had planetude’s plugin installed and all other plugins up-to-date so there was nothing to see, but he was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Good to see HG’s tackling this issue at last!

In reply to: Download failed. Problem with the SSL CA cert (path? access rights?)Thanks so much, planetude. I had this same HostGator problem for years. I’ve contacted them once and maybe even twice to resolve it but they just said the fixes they can implement are only temporary because they outdate very quickly. I didn’t understand what they meant but I ended up getting my site working in the end and I didn’t have time to look into it further. Since then I’ve just ignored plugin updates, waiting for a bunch of them to accumulate before contacting them again for this temporary fix. But your plugin worked like a charm!
Here are some quick instructions that would have helped me when I came upon this thread: you must do a manual installation because the plugin isn’t currently available through WP’s internal collection. Download it from the link above and extract the zip file to your desktop, then drop the whole “http-curl-transport-last” folder into your wp-content/plugins directory via FTP (Filezilla is great). Then just activate it from your WP Plugins page and presto, you can now update your plugins : )

In reply to: [Contango] Eliminating sidebar entirely?Hey again, everyone! I see that with the new update the exact formatting I want for Posts is now available for Pages (“Full Width Open Template”). Any news if/when this will be available for Posts? If not, are there any other workarounds to get the same effect until then?

In reply to: [Contango] Eliminating sidebar entirely? No worries, it really worked well : ). I’ll head over there right now, in the meanwhile I’d really appreciate any help with widening my posts/pages!
Thanks again, Orbisius!

In reply to: [Contango] Eliminating sidebar entirely? Thanks for the quick reply, kaniamea! Your tips worked like a charm. For anyone with the same question as me, I recommend using https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/orbisius-child-theme-creator/ — it made the whole child theme making process super easy, and you can edit the child theme’s CSS/PHP files right from within the dashboard.
Wrapping up, one last question: how would I get the width of my posts/pages cover the space now freed up by the sidebar’s absence? (I tried appending the width under
.container_16 .grid_11
to1200px
but this didn’t help).Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Contango] Eliminating sidebar entirely?Great, thanks Kaniamea. Only I’m not sure which file should be appended. I tried adding the above to “Single Post (single.php) but this caused no changes. Just to be clear, I’m not looking to remove the sidebar entirely — just from all pages and posts (ie: the home page should still contain it). Thanks for your help so far!

In reply to: [InPost Gallery] Captions?Ah, that’s perfect — thanks Mag! That last link helped me: I was inserting captions in during the picture upload dialogue, I didn’t know you had to do it separately. Thanks!
