I agree with jeff…It’s certainly a CSS3 feature like “text-shadow” (try to visualize your site using IE…and Ohhhhhhh…the blur is away)
So it’s definitly a CSS “problem”

I have the same problem.
For the backgroung color, you can change it in the “background color /textures” menu
You juste have to enter your image URL (I put all my images/textures in that folder”…/wp-content/plugins/frontpage-slideshow/images/nameofyourimage.xxx
I’m still trying to change font-color manually (anyone…an idea ?)

(I tried to de-activate all my plugins, re-install the slideshow and re-activate all my plugings…It doesn’t work)
Please…help us ! !
