Hi there,
It depends. The notify_url is not a parameter all gateways support.
So first, you need to make sure the gateway supports that parameter.
Next, you need to create a listener function that listens on that URL.
Finally, you can code your function to update the donation status based on what the payment gateway provides to that URL.
I’ll close this ticket now but feel free to post this on our Github Discussions page where you can get more detailed answers from our developers and others in the community.

Hi Alison,
Were you able to fix things?
I can see a form on this page now: https://zickenfarm.de/donations/unsere-zickenfarm-2024/
There are no errors in the browser console (Chrome and Firefox).Hi @wernsber,
The Donate page shows 5 forms, the last one is not published.
I don’t know which shortcode you are using to display the forms on that page but you should be able to edit it to only include the IDs of the forms that are published.Hi @medspa123,
You can do text/string replacements with Loco Translate or Say What?Loco Translate provides a UI where you can search for full or partial strings which makes the task easier but both plugins work great for these types of things.
Hi @pharhaan,
GiveWP is not an e-commerce plugin so it lacks features like “add to cart” or even a cart, and “quantity”.The easiest way to do that with GiveWP is to create a donation form with multiple donation levels where each level represents a certain “quantity”.
We don’t have a ticket sale add-on or anything of the sort.
Every so often, we get requests for a ticket-sale type of donation.
The biggest hurdle there is the lack of any functionality that increments the amount of a donation based on something like “quantity.” We created a proof of concept code snippet that adds that sort of functionality a few years ago, which you can see here:?https://github.com/impress-org/givewp-snippet-library/blob/master/form-customizations/give-simple-ticket-incrementer.php
Note that you are looking at a NOT-PRODUCTION-READY PHP snippet there. You’d need to test it thoroughly to ensure it doesn’t break things, and if it does, you’d be on your own to support it but hopefully, it will give you some rails to run on.
Hi @entropiabr,
I ran some tests on my local site but I could not reproduce the issue.
Depending on the content you added you might need to use custom CSS to adjust it for small screens. Do you have a link where we can see your form in action?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Paypal Order ID missingHi Cathy,
You’ve come across an issue that we are investigating here:? https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/paypal-order-id-missing-error-should-not-prevent-donations-using-paypal-donation and will keep you updated.
The error is generated by PayPal and is challenging to replicate.
There are a few things you can do:
– Do not combine and/or minify javascript on the page where the donation form is embedded.
– Exclude the page where the form is embedded from the cache.
– Disable Floating Labels in the form settings. If those steps do not make a difference, consider Stripe as an alternative gateway. Sorry for any inconvenience. Let us know if you have any questions.
Hi @naresh11381,
We have a custom snippet that you can use as starting point here:
https://github.com/impress-org/givewp-snippet-library/blob/master/form-customizations/custom-fields-plugin.php
You would only need the first function since you only want to display information on the the form. You can replace lines 40 -52 with your own HTML code. You might need to add custom CSS to make sure your content looks right but you can add CSS code via the WordPress Customizer.Hi folks,
Our team has updated the token in our connection server. You should not need to update anything from your side.
Can you try to connect to PayPal again and let me know how it goes?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform] Stripe Stopped WorkingHi there,
Can you deactivate the Stripe – Checkout option and enable Stripe Credit Card instead? The only difference is Checkout takes you off-site to Stripe to finish the donation.Hi Aracely,
