Ultimately, I created a new folder on the Web server, installed a brand new WordPress 4.5.3. to it, created a second MySQL database (if my ISP allows 50, why not) and linked the new WP to that. So now I have a 3.0.4. and a brand spanking new 4.5.3. WordPress running side by side.

Well, this 4.5.3. looks interesting (as I try to edit things) but in 3 different themes including Sensible WP and over 2 different (latest) browsers the Select Files -> Select Image button does nothing when clicked.

I wonder if picture uploading depends maybe on Flash which I have deactivated.

I am looking at the API docs. So if I wanted to add a counter-like UI element to the Player’s bottom, I would add it as a Button? Since I don’t see any “docs/api/vjs.Counter.md” docfile on GitHub.

I guess I’d put the counter JavaScript code on my WordPress template header, then invoke it from the Button? Am I on the right track?

I found the solution: log in to my ISP’s account management page, and change PHP version to 5.4 for my domain with the popup menu. @#$%! PHP… that’s why I couldn’t recall for the life of me how or where I installed it, I never did. It was a service by my ISP.

BTW this happened in the last 10 seconds before I was to start removing WordPress and redoing those handful of pages as plain HTML. (I only get Vuitton and Michael Kors knockoff spam on my site anyway, never a meaningful reply.) A close call… ??
