The issue should be patched by updating to 4.4.7.3.
@sarahsbakestudio, are you 100% sure these new users were not added (and possibly edited manually by the attacker) prior to the update?
Thank you for flagging this. The issue has been fixed. Please read this update from the Plugin Review Team.
Updating to PHP 8.2 fixed the issue.

In reply to: [Restrict Media Library Access] Can I use this for subscribersMmmm… I am afraid this is not something my plugin could do “out of the box”, @blackawxs but if you can share more details on how you would like this to work, I might be able to suggest something (or recommend a different plugin).

In reply to: [Restrict Media Library Access] Conflict with Media Inserter in block editorAs it turns out, the new media inserter does not support filtering by capabilities at the moment. I have opened this issue, I hope this feature will be added soon.
I did a little bit more testing and noticed that, if Restrict Media Library Access is active, authors will not see ANY images in the Media Inserter, not even their own uploads.
I was not expecting my plugin to have any effect on the Media Inserter so I am a little bit confused by this. Are you still seeing ALL images @thakurtech?

In reply to: [Restrict Media Library Access] Conflict with Media Inserter in block editorGotcha, thank you @thakurtech.
This is a relatively new feature so I am not even sure if filtering media there is supported but I am trying to find out. I will post an update as soon as I know more.
Thanks again for flagging this gap in the plugin!

In reply to: [Restrict Media Library Access] Conflict with Media Inserter in block editorJust to make sure I am following you, you are referring to this, right?
I am going to have to look into this but I will need to investigate first.
Thank you for reporting it, @thakurtech.
some themes will purposefully REMOVE default features like alignment so they can lock it behind their paid premium version.
Could you share a new screen recording but also include the view list on the left and the block settings on the right, to get a better picture? I would like to try and reproduce and confirm this.
Thank you @namkevi

In reply to: [Restrict Media Library Access] add media buttonYes, you were right, I re-logged in as super admin and all works well.
Thanks again for your much needed plugin and help!Cool! Glad to hear it’s fixed : )
Not sure if I should suggest a plugin here but another shortcoming with WP is that when you add an image with the button as above there is no way to set a width as % not px.
Mmmm… it sounds like that should probably be discussed somewhere else but if you want to share more, I’m happy to try and point you in the right direction.
Cheers!

In reply to: [Restrict Media Library Access] add media buttonThank you for the feedback, Kelly.
I’ve never encountered what you are describing. The plugin adds a filter and once it’s deactivated, it shouldn’t have any effect.
My best guess is that this is a caching issue. Could you try creating a new user with an author role and see if the issue persist with the new account?
Thank you!

Hi @tim983. It looks like you are editing a page but you want to edit the page template instead. Click at the top, where it says “Coaching: Better…” and search for “Page Template”. Once there, you should be able to edit the featured image at the top and remove the overlay.
Ideally, and for future questions, it is better if you open a separate support thread so that the thread title matches the issue at hand more accurately (and also, so that we can mark them as resolved separately).
Let us know how that goes!
