In reply to: Different header for different pagesMoshu: No not every page. just the pages that I create and under the site heading in the sidebar: here. Now there are 2 pages that I created, one is “About” and the other is “Archives.” Just for those pages in that section.
Viper: I am having trouble creating a template. Every time I create a new page you can specify which template you would like to use. Even if I create a new template and upload it to my themes directory, that template will not show in the drop down menu in the “page template” field in the create a new page section. Any ideas to why it’s not working?
Thanks for your responses.

In reply to: Introducing the Smart Archives plugin for WordPressJust one more Q: if you click on the month it will only show the last 5 entries with a “<<previous entries” link at the top of the page. I would like to show all entries for that month on the one page. Is it something to do with also having only 5 entries listed on my index page?
What can I do to change that? Please help! Almost there…
Page in question is here.

In reply to: Introducing the Smart Archives plugin for WordPressOk, worked it out. Just had to put that code into my .htaccess file. Was having problems locating it as my ftp program wouldn’t show any hidden files etc etc.
Thanks for the little push.

In reply to: Introducing the Smart Archives plugin for WordPressOk, I put this in the structure field in the permalinks tab under options:
/archives/%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/
Now the archives don’t show at all. Could you be a little more specific? It also said this below it:
If your .htaccess was writable we could do this automatically, but it isna€?t so these are the mod_rewrite rules you should have in your .htaccess file. Click in the field and press CTRL + a to select all.
…And then there was a whole lot of code in another field at the bottom. Sorry, it’s been a while since I played with WP…

In reply to: Introducing the Smart Archives plugin for WordPressI have installed Smart Archives here and it looks fine. Click on individual entries and it will take you to the full post, but I get a 404 error when I click on the months or the year:
The requested URL /fotoblog/archives/2005/08/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Appreciate any help…

In reply to: <!–more–>Oh ok, now it’s working. I had only one test entry on the page and it wasn’t showing the extended entry. I plan on having more than one entry on the page so I don’t think it will be a problem…although the ‘more’ tag should work regardless of how many posts you have don’t you think? That was a little frustrating until I found that out…
Thanks for your help everyone!

In reply to: extended entries <– How?Call me a doofus but I still can’t make an extended entry. I’m using WP 1.5 with the Kubrick style. Here’s what I’m doing: immediately after the first paragraph I click the ‘more’ button which puts the code right after the last word/coma. I then enter the text I want included in the extended entry under the first paragraph, after the ‘more’ code. Like this:
1st paragraph<!–more–>
2nd paragraphCan somebody please tell me what I’m doing wrong? It would have been better to just have an extended entry box under the text box…
