I’ll add my voice to this chorus. I currently use Justin Tadlock’s Members plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/members/ along with this https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/buddypress-restrict-group-creation/ and an addition function that added a capability teacher_groups so that I can do something very similar to this with Group Creation, allow teachers to create groups on the site (otherwise they are just subscribers).
I would love the ability for teachers to be able to award achievements. I would be willing to help support your time for this addition if you think it’s do-able.
I’m not sure if the plugins I’ve mentioned above could help to lead the way.
Profuse apologies. I misunderstood the use of the plugin, then saw the error and assumed I was running into the same issue. Clearly you do an excellent job supporting this plugin. Have a good day.
I was seeing the same error. This is a fresh install of 2.5.4 (not an update). I tried deactivating and reactivating and the same error existed. I then turned off the error check, and the viewer loads, but the Public Google Document does not appear, and instead the viewer is filled with code:
<!DOCTYPE html><html><head><meta name=”google” content=”notranslate”><….

In reply to: [Bebop] wpdb::prepare errorsSorry about that Dale. I installed your plugin via the Commons in a Box project and even though I just did so last night, it seems to have installed version 1.1.1 and isn’t triggering an update notification.
I deactivated the commons plugin, then deactivated and reactivated bebop, and the update notification appeared. Updated and things are good.
I’ll follow up with the CBox team. Thanks for the quick response.

In reply to: [P2] Hide the Author NameThat almost worked, but in some cases it hid the permalink, and in others, the permalink and the reply link. Here’s a site with that code on it:

My next battle will be hiding the comment author.

In reply to: [P2] Hide the Author NameThat didn’t seem to do it. Thanks for the suggestions though.
Thanks Christopher.
Just ran the update and we’re good.
I can confirm that version 0.9 rectified the IE8 issues (sad that some of my users are still using this. Thanks for fixing it: I would have completely understood if you just shot me a link to https://browsehappy.com.)
I’ll keep it live in my sandbox and experiment as iOS or WP updates.
Cheers.

In reply to: WP Admin Bar Doesn't Play Well With Touch Device In WP 3.5Here’s a ticket that references the issue. I can’t find any mention of it being fixed, but I might be missing something. https://core.trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/22660

In reply to: WP Admin Bar Doesn't Play Well With Touch Device In WP 3.5@rossagrant have you tried it with Multisite? I’m seeing the same issue, but I’m seeing it in any menu that has a secondary flyout (not just the BP menus). Most of the BP menus fall into this category, but on a Multisite install you also have flyouts for the Dashboard etc. on each individual site under My Sites. Menus like the “+ New” are working fine because they don’t contain any secondary menus, but wherever there are secondary/submenus off of the main dropdown, I get the same glitch.

In reply to: Flyout menus (3.5 RC1/2)I’m seeing what I believe to be the same issue on WordPress.com. On the admin bar menu on the right, I have a listing of the .org sites I’ve connected to my account through Jetpack. I can get the initial menu to drop, but subsequent flyouts (Visit Dashboard etc) do not appear when I click on the sitename, and the link doesn’t go anywhere.
On the WP icon on the admin bar on the left, the menu appears, and as there are no second level flyouts each link seems to work fine (referring to the New Post; Reader; Notifications etc.)
This is on an iPad. I’m mobile today and unable to check this on a desktop.
Apologies if this is a separate issue. It seemed related. I should mention that the same issue exists in RC3 for me on a multisite, wherein the menu on the left that lists “My Sites” is broken in the same manner. I only mention .com to eliminate plugin conflicts on my end from the report.

In reply to: [WPBadger] Lightbox doesn't appear on Accept Badge linkThanks Dave. I downloaded the master. When I activated it I got an error saying the plugin did not have a valid header. I deleted a space right after the header info and a space at the bottom of the file in wpbadger.php and fixed that (not sure which one was the culprit, but I took a blind stab).
Now the lightbox comes up and I’m prompted to log into persona, but when I get to the next space once my username is authenticated I get an error that the backpack has encountered a malformed URL.
Thoughts?
I should probably start a new post here, but I am seeing the same issue, and I don’t have cloud flare running on my install. Again, I don’t know when the problem started to occur, but it did work at one point.
How would I go about searching for scripting errors? Should I see this through firebug (I’m not seeing anything there) or by enabling WP-debug (I’ll try that next). I thought I would add here as an additional voice seeing the error. I haven’t added anything other than updating WP to the latest versions.
You rock. I’ll update and check it out shortly.
