Hello mister. While i am a rookie myself and only been doing this for 2 months maybe, i think that your question 1 can be solved with putting your banner or your logo in the same place as your text, and just hide the text, so it still will be indexed but not interupt your image.
ex. Your website.
You would want “your website” to go away and put your photoshopped there instead, it can be done with assigning your logo onto that spot and then hide “Your website” with a css command.
LOL, dno if you understand but that should work.
As for Q.2 i think a widget will fix that.
