@jkilbride did you delete wordfence first and then reinstall/upload via ftp?

I have the same error message. Never had a problem with Wordfence before and all other plugins are updating fine.

Checked that CHMOD 755 for folders & 644 for files is set.
I also checked the .htaccess file:

Require all denied
</IfModule>
<IfModule !mod_authz_core.c>
Require all denied
</IfModule>

Should it be this one with Order deny,allow first?

I’ve manually blocked the ip’s permanently and keeping an eye out.
If it wasn’t for Wordfence then the site would have been hacked. Impressive.

I think you’ve told me before… Who is the developer? do they provide support?

Thanks for that. Will check.

Unfortunately convert-post-types isn’t compatible with latest version of WP and others I checked haven’t been updated for a couple of years so I don’t want to take a risk with an old version plugin. https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/post-type-switcher/ looks encouraging but it’s one page at a time. May have to use it or go through phpmyadmin.
