In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Because of a change in your home URL setting…The initial issue I have is Yoast telling me “Because of a change in your home URL setting, some of your SEO data needs to be reprocessed.”
However, I haven’t changed my URL setting – that is what I am concerned about here!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Because of a change in your home URL setting…Hi @maybellyne
Yes, I’ve done the SEO data optimization in the past – when it was first introduced in a previous update.

So should I run that again?

In reply to: Using Custom Functions to Set Default for Images? There are several little quirks with the images it’s so annoying and can really disrupt workflow!
I too am in 5.4 and the vertical images go in large, but sometimes thumbnail – whether I drag and drop, or use the media library upload from folder.
But then horizontal images are going is as thumbnail no matter what I do.
Ultimately Gutenberg does some things really well, but some are still really clunky and I hope that they can fix this!

In reply to: Using Custom Functions to Set Default for Images?I switched to the WordPress 2020 theme to test and still having the same issue.
I have switched that feature off but was told that errors still occurring.
I have contacted support. Thank you.
I jumped the gun on that earlier.
I’ll just have to ditch Jetpack for now.
Update:
No, minification is still off. Errors started manifesting before I even touched its settings.
It’s something going on with something your particular config for Jetpack is doing which is breaking HTML/CSS in a way that the site is telling visitors to load a non-existent file that is named some garbage mess of CSS. (None of the hundreds of other sites we have with Jetpack on it is doing this.)
The mess below is not a file name. And I trimmed it from the entire errors so you don’t get distracted from how long the mess is. Between spaces and special characters, it could never work.
“wp-block-audio figcaption{margin-top:.5em;margin-bottom:1em;color:#555d66;text-align:center;font-size:13px}.wp-block-audio audio{width:100%;min-width:300px}.block-editor-block-list__layout .reusable-block-edit-panel{align-items:center;background:#f8f9f9;color:#555d66;display:flex;flex-wrap:wrap…”
Turning off minification solves the issue … however it’s not something I’ve experienced before, so is Jetpack conflicting with my Cache plugin?
My host is testing.
However, the fact that I’ve run both previously without issues is weird.
My host has said the following:
It’s an error, there is NO file that is being loaded. It’s a bug in someone’s PHP code or CSS/HTML. The “file too long” message is a red-herring.
Files are not named “.wp-block-audio figcaption{margin-top:.5em;margin-bottom:1em;color:#555d66;text-align:center;font-size:13px}.wp-block-audio audio{width:100%;min-width:300px}.block-editor-block-list__layout .reusable-block-edit-panel{align-items:center;background:#f8f9f9;color:#555d66;display:flex;flex-wrap:wrap…”
any ideas please? Someone?!
Thanks for your reply.
I do use a caching plugin – WP Fastest Cache – but I’ve been using that for several years and the same with Jetpack without issue before.
This seems to be a recent thing…
I’ll try turning off my cache plugin and turn Jetpack on to see if issues arise and report back.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] Yoast out of alignment on WP TaskbarThe problem seems to have resolved itself!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] I can’t noindex a single post in the advance settingsIt would seem that it is my theme… but I’ve used this theme for a couple of years now and not had a problem before. The only difference is my recent WP upgrade to Gutenberg, so I wonder if that has something to do with it ??

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Your store does not appear to be using a secure connection….The message was direct from WooCommerce itself, rather than a WordPress thing. I’ve x-d out the banner now so don’t have a screenshot unfortunately.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Your store does not appear to be using a secure connection….Your WordPress Address (URL) & Site Address (URL) use HTTPS, not HTTP. – It is – I was https before I installed WooCommerce and have changed it in the WP site settings.
