In reply to: Need new login to blogI don’t understand the question. Does micahcummings.com/blog/wp-admin not work? It brings up a pop-up login for me.

In reply to: child-theme's php pages don't show up on WordPressHi again. I suspect that it has something to do with the fact that your PHP pages are stored in the pages folder. Usually, they are all stored in the root of the theme folder.
What happens when you switch to the parent literatum theme in WordPress Edit themes page? Are you able to see the functions.php file in there?

In reply to: child-theme's php pages don't show up on WordPressHi. Your functions.php file should definitely NOT be in the CSS folder. It needs to be in the root of the child-theme-folder just like the parent theme folder.

In reply to: Couldn't log in my website after try to change footerYou need to login to Cpanel/file manager and remove the footer.php file from your child theme (or rename it). WordPress will then default back to the footer.php in your parent theme and the site should come back online again.

In reply to: WordPress site is intermittently unresponsiveCan you provide us with a link to your site? You mentioned Ultimate Member. Do you think this plugin might be causing the problem? Have you tried disabling it? If you suspect that this is the culprit, it would be better to post this question in that plugin’s support forum.

In reply to: Maxing out on memory? 500 Internal Server ErrorsYou can do a ‘reverse’ lookup on IP addresses to see which other domains are being hosted on that same IP & server.
Shared hosting should be fine for now, although your goal should be to grow your site and traffic to a point where you need to upgrade to a VPS or dedicated. That is a good problem to have when that happens.
It’s been a long time since I’ve used shared hosting but I’ve heard some good things about BlueHost and InMotion. Just make sure that you backup everything before you make the switch.

In reply to: My wordpress account is wiped after automatic update last nightIt looks to me like you are having a database issue. Did you check wp-config.php to make sure that your database username/password is entered correctly? It’s possible that this file got overwritten in the update….

In reply to: Can't access login pageYou need to start by going to spokeandwords.com/cpanel – from there you need to login using the username and password from hostgator.
Once you have logged in, look for file manager. This should take you to the public_html folder of your website. From there, click on wp-content, and then plugins.
Before you do anything else, please post a list of the plugins folders that are in that main plugin folder. I can probably tell you from that what the problem plugin is.

In reply to: Maxing out on memory? 500 Internal Server ErrorsYour host should have a script that can be run to fix the permissions. There are some scripts out there on the web available for download but they should know what they are doing.
What do you mean by 98MB, 284164 bytes? Why those different numbers? I just checked your CSS file and it seems to be normal so I don’t think it’s related to that.
I also wanted to tell you that there are 743 other websites on the same IP address that you are using, and some of them look quite seedy. I don’t care what your host tells you…it is possible that someone else’s website on the server is responsible for the problems that you are having. It might be time to look for a new host.

In reply to: Maxing out on memory? 500 Internal Server ErrorsI just had another thought about this. The fact that I don’t see any of these 500 errors…
Is this only happening when you are logged in to the website?

In reply to: Maxing out on memory? 500 Internal Server ErrorsIf you have disabled your plugins and switched to the WordPress 2016 theme and the problem is still persisting, I don’t see why the hosting company is telling you that it’s your fault. It sounds like a misconfiguration on the server’s end.
The other thing that this could be is a permission issue. You can ask your server to try repairing the permissions and see if that makes a difference.
I have been browsing your site and I have not yet experienced a 500 error. Your site seems to be loading just fine from where I am.

In reply to: Can't access login pageAre you using a security plugin like Ithemes security? This sounds like a plugin misconfiguration. If you have access to Cpanel file manager, you need to look in wp-content/plugins and remove (or move) any plugins that might be causing this problem.

In reply to: WP trying to show images using https (no SSL site)Hi. When I inspected a couple of the ‘missing’ thumbnails on your homepage, I don’t see https but I do see that the ‘missing’ images contain a CDN. I think the problem must be with your CDN because when I copy the image address into my browser, I can see the image, and when I go back to your website, I can then see the image!
Are you sure that your CDN is configured correctly? It may not be pulling photos from your site frequently enough for some reason.
