I love this plugin, unfortunately, it’s no longer working. I know other people have had some issues with this one after upgrading to WP 2.1, but the plugin author doesn’t seem to have been around lately. Does anyone know of a fix for this one?

I’m also using this plugin and have just upgraded to the latest version of WP.

The plugin works fine when someone uses it in a comment, but does not always work when I want to insert it into a post. However, that’s been happening since before I upgraded today, so I don’t believe it’s a 2.2 issue.

Use more than just one spam blocker, and make sure you’re using the latest versions. Like I said, Spam Karma is excellent.

Notepad, which I believe everyone has, or Dreamweaver.

The Spam Karma and Bad Behavior plugins are excellent. I have only used those two programs, have never used Akismet, and have had next to no issues with spam. Get those installed and activated until you get things figured out.

Edit the sidebar.php page of the theme offline, then upload it.

Oh, I guess I could have written that better, I didn’t make myself clear enough.

I don’t want to publish the articles as my primary content, they’d be in a sidebar, and it would only be the title of the article and the name of the website that published it linking back to the original website – no other part of the article would appear…is that still considered splogging/stealing?

Yep, I found that after I made this post. For some reason any formatting in a post messes up my validation, haven’t figured that out at all. Also looks like Spam Karma isn’t validating either, which is weird, because that wasn’t showing up as a problem before.

Am going to try a different theme to see what happens.

Have you contacted the person who created the theme?
