I decided to try the deleting plugin and re uploading anyway.
It did resolve the ability to edit problem, and happy to say that all my previous files (created Shortcodes) were unaffected.
It did not resolve a couple of the filmcards that had started doing funny things, like the back not appearing, even though it was there in the editing screen, and also one where the back was appearing as the front, and there was nothing at the back, again, even though it looked like all was well in the editing screen. I ended up recreating these two and all is now well as far as I can see.
Did this work please? I emailed support on this very subject on 10th Oct 2023 and have had no reply. My issue is now very urgent.
Thank you! I have sent the same info there just now.

In reply to: [Athena] Jumbatron not working in Athena themeUpdate – something that worked for my Athena Pro but not the free version was this plugin….
Version Control for jQuery
You enable it, then go to settings to find it and then work your way through the list, rolling back the version until you hit one that works.

In reply to: [Athena] Jumbatron not working in Athena themeI have two websites running Athena – one is the free version and one is the Pro. With the WordPress update, both of these had their jombotron knocked out. “Enable JQuery Migrate Helper” word a treat for both sites. However, as of the updates yesterday, it is back to how it was – no jumbotron and just that annoying spinning thing. Hoping for another update somewhere to sort out the sort out!
I tried the commenting out but it has not worked for either of these versions. Thank you so much, though, for the suggestions above.

In reply to: [Event Calendar & Ticketing] Plugin does not work. Cannot view event pages.I had this same issue – returning a 404 when I actually clicked on an event. After reading what was above, I changed the permalinks back to default, tested clicking on an event, and this time it worked. Then I tried changing my permalinks back to my postname setting and it seem to still be working! Might just need that change away, then change back to postnames.
