I found a Solution, but i dont know if it will help you.
I just deinstalled the plugin, switched to another theme. Switched back and reinstalled the Plugin. After this i created a childTheme folder and activated it. And suddenly even if i didnt excpected it, it worked.

I cant realy understand why this steps should change anything…

Ive got this Problem too.
But i figured out something.

If youre logged in to your WordPress account, it Shows the wrong title in head-area and the browser-window/tab.
if you start the customizer, it shows the correct one.

if youre logged off, i used private window and another browser for testing, it Shows the correct title of the sub-site.

I hope this helps for fixing…
