Hi all
to keep track of it and provide help if anyone face the issue, the issue was coming from a change after 2.10.10 made on ACF Frontend while using an Elementor-based template :
* For my post content, I was using the Content/Content editor item in ACF & the toggle to set the content editor content as post content.
* For my post excerpt, I was using the Basic/Text Area item in ACF & the toggle to set the content as excerpt content.
* My Elementor template was using the dynamic field feature of Element Pro to link with the ACF fields. Both “set as…” toggles disappeared in ACF Frontend versions after 2.10.10, while ACF Frontend introduced some new ACF “Post” categories (including Excerpt and Content that I am using).
Changing my Elementor template to use Post Content and Post Excerpt objects instead of the two listed above solved the issue.
Hi
I am facing redirect issues as well (actually since 3.0.5, first release of 3.x ACF). On my side, I am facing a 404 error (while the URL is valid).
If it what you observe ?

Hi
closed topic.
Issue was coming from moving from ACF 2.x to 3.x and that migration was actually changing setting of post-based forms to Post Edit instead of Post New.
Stupid to correct, but clearly a big issue at migration stage without user manual nor warning on things to check when moving from 2.x to 3.x

Hi
this observed behaviour is really weird.
I checked with the web hosting company. They had a deep look on their side, and confirm that nothing from them could be the source of the issue.
How could this be debugged further ?
Matt
Hi Angelo
yes, I tried, with no change at all ??
matt
Hi Kuba
thanks. Hop you’ll be able to identify the issue and provide an update soon ??
Matt
Hi.
Done, you should have my mail from now ??
Matt
Sure, no worries.
I’ll dig more on my side and switch to Pro in case I have no more ideas left ??
Changing a thing on the Page editor on WordPress side triggers a notification… issue is really Elementor sided.

Hi
thanks.
I already disabled everything out of PublishPress and Elementor… with no change, unfortunately.
Matt
Hi
Thanks.
I had a look to that already before posting.
I gave a try to async already, with no change. But as article and event-related notifications are working perfectly (and our site is really low traffic), it would have been surprising to have it being the reason behind the issue.
It really looks like more as a notification trigger issue than a notification sending issue, as the Notification Log does not show any Page notification listed (I assume if it was an issue of sending, it would appear in this Log anyway).
Is PublishPress supposed to work with a page update (ie : no change in page status) through Elementor ? (I set “all” as previous & new status, so I assume it should work…)
Matthieu
Note: I fond the issue for the Events – was a mistake from me.
Nope. Issue is still there for now. I’m pending on a feedback from @caseproof for now.
Hello
5.11 still has issue.
I found this threads with exact same messages: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/strstr-empty-needle/
(+ found another one in French). All unsolved.
Is there anything new ? Do you need to access to my site ?

Hi again
additional information:
trying to fill-out the (incorrect) form leads to a very abnormal situation, which may be interesting for diagnostic : fields are kind of affected to the Elementor items on which the page is built.
I observed this to apply to :
* ACF Field Post/Title (coming from ACF Frontend)
* Article/Featured ImageFor sure it applies to other items.
And when a user is submitting a new post from front end, it actually creates a new revision of the baseline page !

Such a major change should have been obvious for ACF frontend team, as well as for the related troubleshooting.
I had to manage this on my own and switching to pro did not bring more support… sad.
Let’s see if my other issue is solved more quickly : https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/broken-elementor-based-post-forms-since-3-0-5-help/

In reply to: [Frontend Admin by DynamiApps] Problems with multiple forms on one siteHi
I am facing similar issues – this appeared since 3.0.5 – and still facing it with latest versions. Front end Post submit is filled out with previous submission in some way… very strange.
Using Elementor with ACF fields (tried to use it as individual fields or grouped – no change – issue remains)..
