In reply to: [WP Migrate Lite - WordPress Migration Made Easy] Path of website hostedI am still in hope that they return the feature.
But, I realized rereading the comments that this is part of the Delicious Brain’s troubling reply is troubling: “In addition, tools like WP Migrate Pro and Local handle the domain and path replacement for you when importing a database, so with those tools, there is no need to manually do it yourself anymore.”
Neither of these tools really takes the place of the simplicity of the functionality of pre-filled paths provided. Pro costs money and Local is a product by WP Engine which recently acquired this plugin and transfers of websites are limited to hosts WP Engine or Flywheel.Time marches on and things change, but perhaps they will turn back time on this feature and return this much-beloved feature of this plugin to the WP community.

In reply to: [WP Migrate Lite - WordPress Migration Made Easy] Path of website hostedMany times I have had to transfer a website to a new server that I don’t have any access to the cPanel. So having the path of the site where it resides before the transfer was a big help to me. I would love to see it come back as you suggested.
How would I do that without the path info with the lite plugin? Would local handle moving their live site to live/dev? When I think of local I think strictly of a site hosted on my computer like using a program like WAMP. Do I need the pro version to handle that?
Workflow when developing a site from scratch: Local build to Live Dev site to Client site on client hosting. I import the databases via phpMyAdmin. Also, looking at the database export section – Export all tables with prefix “wp_”. What if the site’s table prefix isn’t “wp_”? Do you need the pro version now to handle that?

In reply to: [WP Migrate Lite - WordPress Migration Made Easy] Path of website hostedNoticed that too. Custom Find & Replace no longer auto-fills with the site URL and the site root file path. I like that feature as it saved time from having to go gather the root file path info. Would really like to have that back as it is part of what makes this plugin easy to use.

Thank you for all your help! I will increase the weekly backups to 7 and follow the order you recommended if I ever need to do a restore of a site. I am good to go unless you have anything else you want to share.
Updated Screenshot With Manual Full Backup
Hmm… made a mistake when I reset the database backup back to weekly and didn’t set the number to keep at 5. That is the number I keep on other sites.
So I don’t know if this is a help but I did a manual full backup and attached a screenshot. That backup is included in the file log.
The file backups use to look like the attached screenshot with the database.
Is there a new setting I am missing that would produce that when I am setting up the files backup?
Should I expect that the file backups should include the database now – maybe your program has changed and I am just chasing after something that doesn’t an option anymore.
If that is case, what order would I restore – files first or database?

A rescan of remote storage produced the same list of backups. I checked the remote storage folder and there only database backups in the folder are the database backups I run daily.
This isn’t just happening on this site all the sites I backup are not including a database backup with the files backup – which they all use to do. It is a puzzlement.

Tried your suggestion and the list of tasks is the same as above.
Just added a PHP code snippet to a site.
In the left Dashboard menu select +Add Snippet under Code Snippets
Select Add Your Custom Code (New Snippet)
In the Create Custom Snippet Screen you will find Code Type on the right – select PHP Snippet from the dropdown menu.Hope this helps.

In reply to: [WordPress Importer] Abandoned Plugin?Wondering why this plugin hasn’t been updated? I didn’t even realize it was an independent plugin. Perhaps, WP needs to assess whether they should link to an “abandoned” plugin or take over the responsibility of keeping this plugin updated. I am sure there are other options available – but this has been the standard go-to forever.
I see that it is working on your site – did you try the social icons in a footer widget? That is where they are located on my sites. I reached out to Astra on this and will let you know what they say before moving forward here.
