In reply to: No comment box on home page or previous posts, but…Thanks for the suggestion. I already had summary checked for the feed and it makes no difference. Perhaps I should look for a plugin that will show my latest post as a front page. Or maybe there is another easy solution.

In reply to: No comment box on home page or previous posts, but…That makes sense, but which settings should I use so that the post shows up as a single page? Should I not use Home/Front page as the place where recent blog posts appear?
Thanks for your quick response.Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Nisarg] Remove date but not comments from postAppreciate your help, even though I could not resolve the problem, but found an alternate solution.

In reply to: [Nisarg] Remove date but not comments from postYes, but the comments also disappeared with the date. That is the problem. I do want the comments to remain.
Byline is the same as author.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Nisarg] Remove date but not comments from postThanks salsaturation. That had no effect. Any other suggestion?
It seems I either get just the byline removed with the date and comments left, or everything disappears. I only want the comments to show. I do not need the byline or date.
Thanks for any other suggestions.

In reply to: [Slideshow] Links in description and swapping imagesThanks. I will remove my links for now. I did replace images using your technique, just wanted to be sure that there wasn’t a “quicker” method.

In reply to: Slideshow description links and swapping imagesI posted this in the wrong thread, so will mark it resolved and move it to the correct thread.
Thanks for posting this. This is exactly what happened to me. I never got my content back, even after deleting the plugin and changing themes. Seeing the Hello World page threw me for a loop. I am now regretting that with a totally fresh install that I have installed this Cache Plugin following the recommendation of my host so that my site would speed up.

In reply to: Site slows, re-installs itself, crashes, loses contentMy host said it is beyond the service that they provide.
That is why I came here to find some alternatives.
What do you mean by my it being mixed nice?
I tried deleting the cache, but can’t get rid of minify – it says that the directory is not empty, but I see nothing there.
Thanks again Peter, I may just have to end up starting over from scratch, which I was trying to avoid.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site slows, re-installs itself, crashes, loses contentThanks so much Peter. Oddly enough, the plugins that I deactivated and deleted appeared again. I will ftp and delete the folder.

In reply to: Site slows, re-installs itself, crashes, loses contentThis is what is really odd. Every time that I log in, there are different plugins showing. Last time, there were about 5 of them, which I thought that I had deleted. Now, I have all of the original ones back.
Not sure why every time is different – and I have not done anything at all! I will go disable plugins again and see if that helps. Last time, it did nothing. I used one of those plugin monitors and everything seemed fine. I will follow, your suggestions, Peter. Maybe I do have two installations of WP- like I said, I suddenly got the email as if I were just installing a fresh WP – but this happened spontaneously.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Site slows, re-installs itself, crashes, loses contentThanks, Peter.
Those cache plug-ins were suggested. I will turn them off and go re-name the 2015 folder. I was originally using Suffusion.
I can log into admin now via dashboard, but that function had also disappeared for awhile.I am also getting this same message and have not installed any new plugins. I never had this problem before. I am anxious to hear if anybody has a solution.

In reply to: Hemingway header size problemsThanks, Mizagorn. Your info is very helpful and I am sure that it will help others who are having a similar problem.
Very interesting about the stylesheet as I haven’t touched that at all.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: Title height in Meteor Slideshow won't changeDoing some further searching, it dawned on me that maybe line-height isn’t what determines the title height.
I added this to change the size of the title:
font-size: 12px;
This worked like a charm.
Great plug-in.
(Don’t have a clue what line height does.)
