Hello, are those popups not going away even when you dismiss?
If not (and of course, sorry, that’s not the intention, nor what usually happens!) then it’s likely an AJAX issue that’s blocking the dismissal from getting registered when you click that ‘dismiss’ icon/button.The fastest solution is probably installing WP Safe Mode (our plugin), enabling safe mode just for you with only EM enabled, and then disabling the popups. If that still doesn’t work, try getting in touch with us directly and we can give a more specific suggestion.
Hopefully then they’ll go away and you won’t have further issues.
Thanks for the 4*, that’s very generous if there’s a non-stop pop-up ?? Maybe it’ll stop when you change it to 5*? (joke)

Hello, it seems that when the page is reloaded, the JS that generates the local time isn’t executed on the newly loaded content. When the page is loaded normally, the EM JS looks for all these local placeholder HTML and replaces it with the local time as per the required setting, which doesn’t happen in an ajax pageload currently hence the ‘javascript disabled’ notice (as if JS wasn’t enabled on the browser).
We’ll need to sort that out in the next update.

In reply to: [WP FullCalendar] WP FullCalendar dissapears WordPress repositoryHello, sorry for not updating anyone on this, the plugin was closed temporarily due to a security issue. The code was updated and a review phase took place with requests for extra modifications to adhere to some WP best practices. This has now been resolved and the plugin is live again.
Usually, this sort of thing is resolved faster, but due to the holidays, workload, this all took longer than usual. That said, the plugin continued to work on your site and the only real issue was that new users can’t DL or older users couldn’t upgrade.
Hello, I’d like to update this thread as someone refered me to it as an example. Sadly, we’ve experienced this issue due to the plugin Events Manager Email Users actually overwriting our own core code and using outdated files which cause this PHP error.
This seems to be limited to the author’s Pro plugin, and possibly other add-ons he has written and has yet to correct it as far as we’re aware. Our only suggestion is to remove those plugins to prevent this error from happening. Overwriting other plugin core files is not OK and if it was a plugin hosted on www.ads-software.com it’d have been taken down unless corrected.
maybe the svn tagging update fixed the issue. thanks for the feedback!
Hello, it has come to my attention from another unrelated plugin/problem that keeping the trunk SVN with latest update and not tagging could cause this issue. We’ve tagged 6.2.1 just now, could you try again and see if it helps?
We updated 6.2 to 6.2.1 hours after discovering a bug so I’m thinking something went wrong when pushing out that update, although it seems to be happening to a handful of users only (I can’t reproduce this).
Hello, the core/free plugin supports first/last names, splitting up the name field accordingly by spaces. So, in theory it should work and supply Zoom a last name. If not, we’d need to look into it further.
Unfortunately at this time our .org responses are limited due to time constraints. We’re not trying to coerce anyone to ‘go pro’, but we’re also balancing our resources accordingly at this time of growth and whilst concentrating on adding new features.
@jchretien @darkfishcaver
well, this wasn’t our intention, our apologies. I’m thinking you probably got some AJAX error due to a plugin conflict that blocked the dismissal. When you click ‘dismiss’ or even the outside of the popup so it goes away, it should have sent an AJAX request to register the dismissal, that probably never happened.By now you shouldn’t be seeing the ad at all anyway as it was only for a few weeks at most. We do also have a ‘leave a review’ popup, did that show/dismiss properly?
Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the delayed reply, we’ve not been able to keep up with the free support forums recently due to higher levels of pro customers and I was not made aware of this thread or the pop-up issues being this prevalent.
Firstly, let me start by saying that our intention is certainly not to pummel you with adverts! Since 2008 I don’t think we’ve even mentioned the Pro add-ons in our plugin code, only the plugin page on .org. The recent popup was a one-off because we raised our prices for the first time in 12 years and wanted to let everyone know before it was too late.
The logic for the popup was that it’d show up 2x at most. Once on any wp admin page, and then once on EM-specific pages. The first time, even if you just click off the popup so it disappears should have dismissed it into only EM pages, and clicking the dismiss button should have made it go away entirely.
I’m wondering if maybe you’ve all experienced a bug or plugin conflict where the dismissal AJAX didn’t go through and therefore didn’t dismiss the popup? If that’s the case, then I’d certainly see why you’d find this irritating and, in fact, completely agree with you! However, please know that if that’s the case, it’s a bug, not our intention.
hello, yes, if you delete the folder, no DB data is removed/altered. Actually, db data is only deleted via the uninstall option on our plugin (which requires double-confirmation).

For example, it sounds like @sallijane experienced what we intended, others here didn’t.

Hello, no changes at all actually in terms of ownership. Only changes are the many new and upcoming improvements to the plugin ??
We have been trading under Pixelite for some time now but never updated the wp.org usernames. We did also keep the user netweblogic as a committer, but I’m also transitioning my own personal use of that handle to @msykes
Sorry for any confusion!
Hello, this is meant to disappear after one off-modal dismissal on non-EM pages, completely if a second dismissal on EM pages. Clicking the dismiss button removes it completely.
I’m curious, did that not happen to you? Or are you offended by a dismissable popup? I certainly understand if the former happened to you (continued popups despite dismissals), not so much the latter…
Obviously, our intention isn’t to force any upgrades, just announce the fact that we are changing pricing (for first time in 12 years). This is now over, and in theory you shouldn’t be seeing it anymore since it references a timestamp too before showing, but
I’d be interested to know if the popup continued showing even after dismissals, clearly the dismiss button on the popup should do exactly that.
Hello, for some odd reason I could not reproduce this until I restarted my computer… strange!
Anyway, managed to reproduce this and fixed the problem in the latest dev version, you can update to the dev version as per these instructions.
We’ll release an update in the coming days hopefully and it’ll be included.
Hello, sorry if you got offended, but we have raised our price for the first time in 12 years. We wanted to make sure that anyone thinking of going Pro recently could do so before the change happened and lock in the current pricing.
This ad shouldn’t appear anymore because the change has happened, but at the same time I’m somewhat surprised by how a dismissable, one-time ad can anger a user of so many years?
