In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack update errorI figured out my problem was not enough space in Bluehost. I cleared some space and was able to install Jetpack and it appears to be working.
Thanks for the help.Forum: Plugins

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] Jetpack update errorThanks for the help. I deleted the Jetpack plugin, and it no longer showed up in my plugins list. Then I installed it again, and got the following message on the WordPress
“Installation failed: Could not copy file.”
Nevertheless, I activated Jetpack. My WordPress dashboard page then says:
“Your installation of Jetpack is incomplete. If you installed Jetpack from GitHub, please refer to this document to set up your development environment.”
So it appears something did not go right, but I do not know what is wrong. Jetpack shows up as activated in my plugins list in WordPress, but it does not show up on my Bluehost list of plugins. It does not show up in the left-hand column on the WordPress dashboard.
Thank you for any additional assistance you can provide.
My apologies. I looked for a way to start a new thread, and frankly, I couldn’t find it. (My first time on the forum). I’ll look again.
Yesterday I tried to update my Jetpack plugin on my self-hosted site from 7.4 to 7.4.1. All previous updates of Jetpack have worked fine. But this time I get the following message:
“An error occurred while updating Jetpack by WordPress.com: Could not copy file. jetpack/_inc/lib/class.media.php”
How do I resolve this error?
Thanks.
