If a feature like that isnt working its probably a conflict with another plugin.

The first steps are to disable other plugins and if the problem is resolved then you should reactivate the plugins 1 by 1 until you find the culprit. And then use a different Plugin.

If this doesnt reveal the problem somebody would need to login to your site and investigate. In which case the pro support channel is what you actually need:

@twilitegxa – hrmmm well that doesnt make any sense and I’ve not heard of this one happening before. Although I did see it the other day with another Plugin… I deactivated it and reactivated it and things we back to normal. Totally weird but true story.

Can you please post this on our blog under the recent 3.8.13 blog post where somebody from the WPEC team is more likely to be in a position to help.

I’ve only ever heard of this happening if you have more than one email address set to receive the notifications.

Please test this out with WPEC 3.8.13 and latest WordPress.

If you do have more than one email address set please remove one of them. If that fixes the issue consider it already resolved. But you’ll have to wait until we push out 3.8.14 which is just around the corner.

Just specify what categories you want to display on the product page and make sure that product isnt in one of those categories?

Please try using the latest 3.8 version of WordPress with the latest version of WP e-Commerce Plugin 3.8.13 ??

@3leftturns – there is a plugin for that… i’m pretty sure if you google for disable wp e-commerce default styling plugin you’ll find what you need.

In early 2014 we’ll be releasing a new version of WPEC that comes with the bbPress template engine so it’ll make theming way better.

If you want to test that for us we’d be grateful ??

@dubzz – I don’t think this is possible out of the box. Your best bet might be to hire a consultant from our website or find an Add On Plugin for WPEC that does this.

Can you please try using 3.8.13 and confirm that this is still an issue. We can’t help fix this problem unless we have access to the sites in question. Hopefully they are resolved but its hard to say.

In 3.8.13 you can change the thumbnail setting on a product thumbnail by thumbnail basis. When selecting a product image its on the right hand side of the media manager.

Did you get this solved? Since this is not core functionality I would suggest contacting a consultant from our consultants page. I’d suggest the guys at https://www.whitelamp.com/ who great at this type of job.

I would ask that they create this into a Plugin that that might benefit the entire community.
