In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Month View just spinning – without loadingHi Barry many thanks for getting back to me..
Before I saw your reply I deleted the plugin & some of the tables in the database. (I obviously lost all of the events but I’m determined to get this plugin to work as it suits our needs extremly well.) I then reinstalled a fresh copy of the plugin & it worked fine with a couple of events added to February, however as soon as we added an event to March onwards we get the same error (infinate spinning).
What would you be classing as ‘bad data’??
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I was in the middle of writing the above post when I thought about what ‘bad data’ could mean, especially when you said about comparing the 2 dates..
I dropped some tables that belonged to a different calendar plugin (that was being used up until we found ‘the events calendar’) – and as if by magic it worked a charm!! I’ve no idea how or why that was causing problems but at least its fixed & now we can look forward to using your plugin!!
Many thanks for all your help throughout & for your amazing plugin!

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Month View just spinning – without loadingTried with the unedited default theme as well it’s just the same thing – Loads perfect until I try to load March then I’m presented with the spinning icon & the page never loads.
Also tried downloading a fresh copy of the plugin & overwriting the files (as I ddn’t want to risk losing 80+ events) – It also made no difference.
Not sure what else I can do (apart from give up). Does the error that firebug gives me (in my initial post) not help find the problem?
??

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Month View just spinning – without loadingHi,
Thanks for your reply Barry – No particularly high number of events in fact only 4 none of which is recurring.
I’ve disabled all plugins which hasn’t made a difference.
I’ve tested this on a local server with the same theme which has worked fine, so I’m guessing that rules out conflicts with the current theme?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Wrong "Today" on month viewWOW! Can’t believe that I never thought of this!! **Blushes**
Is there anyway that I could have this working in conjunction with wp-super cache without having to delete the cache on a regular basis?

In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Showing wrong dateHi I am also having the same problem.
Today’s date 25th November 2013 – 6.52pm (UK time)
My wordpress timezone in general settings is correct (Europe/Belfast);
UTC time is 2013-11-25 18:52:30 Local time is 2013-11-25 18:52:30
However on my calendar, the month view is displaying that today is 20th of November, clearly a few days behind but whenever I’m logged in as an admin & refresh the calendar it works perfectly. I’m assuming that my PHP & MYSQL timezones are fine as it works great when I’m logged in.
Any ideas?

In reply to: [News Bar Plus] Issues with tweetsIm having the same problem.. any help would be great..
I created a new widget area and added the widget for the ticker there – works great but it would be easier for others if you could simply copy and paste a line of code into your template files.
I too would like to be able to add a line of php to my template files to make it appear at the top of my site, above the breadcrumbs for example.. is this possible?

In reply to: Possible virus/Malware – Please help.Thanks Govpatel, I had a look through that and decided to change the secret keys (incase they we’re still logged in because of the cookie still being “valid”)..
I’ve check .htaccess I don’t think any of that is unusual.
# BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPress <IfModule mod_suphp.c> suPHP_ConfigPath /home/namehere <Files php.ini> order allow,deny deny from all </Files> </IfModule>
Hoping that this works now – however if it all comes back I don’t think I have much choice other than to delete everything and restore a database even if it is quite old…
But so far so good, it had previously been coming back every 10 minutes or so.. but nothing since. **Fingers Crossed**
Sorry for being a noob lol but does this mean that “custom fields” is all my checkbox names and that I would need to use the code for each single checkbox as opposed to a singular name for a group of checkboxes?? (if you know what i mean)
I call the group “specifications” in this group I have around 20ish check boxes – I need the code to display (on the front-end) whatever checkboxes are ticked when adding a new post (in admin panel).
Ok, I checked the types website today again and its now up for me… I see that to display items you need to use the following code;
<?php echo(types_render_field("field-name", array("arg1"=>"val1","arg2"=>"val2"))); ?>
Well I have added that and changed the field name to “specifications” because when I click on “Custom Fields” I can see a group there called “specifications” – inside this group are all the check boxes I want.
I have tried a few different arguments to try displaying the selected check boxes on the post types but its just not displaying for me please help…
The current code I’m using;
<?php echo(types_render_field("specifications", array("raw"=>"true"))); ?>

In reply to: Post types & already-registered taxonomiesI have managed to get the categories to show on the “Add new item” page (custom post type), I check the box to select a category for my new item and published the post.
I’ve set my custom menu in my header to show the 3 categories hoping to display the items added through my custom post type. However when clicking on these categories on the menu I get an error saying that there was no results found…
Is it something wrong with the way the domain links for custom post types?? For example;
The link to the “New Item” is: https://domain.com/posttype/postname/
The link to the “Category” from the menu is: https://domain.com/category/catname/Hence there is no post type part of the category link..
I hope you understand what I mean…
Where am I going wrong with this please..??Forum: Plugins
