I went through and tried disabling every other Plugin, but nothing stopped the aforementioned bug (clicking ‘Quick Edit’ results in entry disappearing from the list of Posts] from recurring. ONLY disabling “Use Google Libraries” allows me to access “Quick Edit” normally.
Problem exists in both Firefox AND MSIE-9, so it is not a browser issue. I will try another OS (currently using 64bit Win7), but I expect the same result.
(UPDATE: Tried Linux. No difference.)

In reply to: Drag/Drop of Widgets not working in 3.1?Quicknote,
Some modified themes break Drag & Drop. The only no-mod “solution” is to simply disable Accessibility Mode (drag & drop) and just use the “Add” function to add widgets manually.
AccMode is enabled/disabled simply by clicking “Screen Options” on the Widgets menu. When it is enabled, DnD’ing of widgets is replaced with an “Add” link to the right of each widget.
Hope this helps.

In reply to: Screen Options Menu Not Appearing on Edit Posts/Pages“tech”. Yes. Tried IE as well. Problem is too intermittent to predict.
Haven’t contacted my Host to resolve an issue with a single page when others work fine.

In reply to: Screen Options Menu Not Appearing on Edit Posts/Pages“tech_coach”. No. I have tried disabling all plugins and switching to the Default Theme.
I’ve noticed the drop-down in the Post Editor works off & on. I have yet to find a pattern.

In reply to: Screen Options Menu Not Appearing on Edit Posts/PagesI too am experiencing this same problem. I’m using 3.2.1, but have had the trouble since 3.0. It is not a “theme” issue. I have not edited the Interface code in any way (only the outward theme).
Same problem: Drop downs work on every page EXCEPT the post editor. I can’t enable the “Except” function because of it.
This appears to be related to the issue of “Drag & Drop” not working on the Widgets page, which I am also experiencing.
Thanks for the info, Fay?al.
On #2, are there rules for using the “[LOGO]” variable?
Confirmed: new 2.1 version works with WP-3.2.1
A few minor annoyances:
1) In the custom notification feature, the variable “[BLOG_NAME]” works on the Subject line, but can’t be mixed with HTML in the actual notification.
2) The tags “[EXCERPT]” and “[LOGO]” also do not appear to work.
3) A “Preview” feature for your custom notification would be extremely helpful.
4) The plugin appears to still notify everyone of simple post updates, not just NEW blog postings. Plugin must be disabled before minor updates to avoid resending Notification to everyone.
5) A “Notification opt out” option on every users Preferences page would be extremely helpful.
Other than those minor issues, the plugin works and works well. An excellent and badly needed feature that should have been built into WP in the first place.

In reply to: Drag/Drop of Widgets not working in 3.1?Hello Heidi,
Based upon your solution, I’m suspicious that my modified “php.ini” in my “admin” folder could be at “fault”. I had to modify it by adding:
"memory_limit = 128M"
to increase the buffer size (some of my pages were so long I couldn’t edit them after saving.) I made this seemingly innocuous change a few months ago and had forgotten.I haven’t tried removing the line, and if my custom theme (in the “content” folder) were to blame, the problem would of shown up long before now.
I may try removing the line to see what happens later. I’ll let everyone know when I do.

In reply to: Drag/Drop of Widgets not working in 3.1?From my original post:
For now, I must “Enable Accessibility Mode” on the Widgets page and Add/Remove/Hide widgets manually. Not a huge deal, but certainly less convenient.
The problem is not anything as simplistic as whether or not “Accessibility Mode” is enabled.

In reply to: Drag/Drop of Widgets not working in 3.1?Interesting, Katrina.
I went ahead (just now) and tried applying the “Twenty-Ten” theme to see if it fixed the problem. It didn’t. So I quickly put my old theme back.
Annoyingly, applying the new theme reset/disabled all my Widgets, forcing me to activate and re-sort each of them (grumble). What a pain.

In reply to: Drag/Drop of Widgets not working in 3.1?Have you tried:
– deactivating all plugins
Yes.
– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.
I’m reluctant to change the theme, even momentarily, without a way to disable the website and post a “Please check back later” message. (doing this via a plugin isn’t rational when the goal is to disable all plugins to find the error.)
And if the problem is my theme, then how would I fix it? Also, I’m not sure how a Theme could affect the WP Admin interface?
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
No inactive plugins. Anything not used was deleted.

In reply to: Drag/Drop of Widgets not working in 3.1?Already did. I’m not using “Simple Sidebar Share Widget”, “Event Espresso”, “Easy Toolbox”, or any other widget plugin.

In reply to: [WP Post Notifier For All] [Plugin: WP Post Notifier For All] I fixed itThanks, but you didn’t explain WHAT exactly your “fix” corrects.
Because it still doesn’t work for me.

In reply to: [Inactive User Deleter] [Plugin: Inactive User Deleter] Feature requestThis plugin would be more helpful if it sent a “Confirmation email” to each user rather than simply delete everyone that doesn’t participate.
“iloveleesh”,
I would be interested in knowing your configuration.
