Yes all products are available in the product sub categories below the top level cat.

I am sure it is not good for the SEO having this top level cat displaying all products in the sub cats but i am very nervous to remove this link.

If there is anyone out there that can confirm yes or no, i am scared i will ruin any SEO work if this link is removed.

Yes if you click the top level ‘Outdoor lighting’ it displays all products in the sub cats below so it shows all products which may not point customers to the exact product type they are searching for where as if they click the sub cats it takes them to just that product group which is much more targetted to what they are looking for.

I am just worried that if i remove the link to the ‘outdoor lighting’ display ‘all’ page i am going to mess up the SEO and if i do remove this link if this is what you advise what type of redirect do i use?

I hope you understand what i am saying

Just to add to it i am not sure these pages really add anything to the user experience but i really dont want to mess up the SERPS for the site

Yes using the Yoast plugin which is great.

Yes the dupe content is my real worry but i am not sure how to stop these ranking but at the same time not affect current ranking of the site i don’t want to take a step backward by doing the wrong thing.

Having looked at the site again i think it is best to remove these URL’s as i don’t think it works for the user experience displaying all the products from the sub categories.

If i remove this link what type of redirect should i set up?

One question how do i block this page from being indexed as it is purely a PPC landing page?

I have thought about just creating a new category on the website for these products but it will mess up the structure and i don’t want these landing pages indexed

Ok tried the plugin seems to help a bit. Is there an all in one solution that you offer on one or a couple of plugins you can recommend, as the site still seems a little slow particularly on the javascript and browser caching
