In reply to: [Chaplin] Cover template as default blog posts template part 2Hi Anders,
I am trying to use Chaplin as landing page for a blog.
-or-
I am trying to use Chaplin including the standard wp blogging capability.
What @kikaweb had it figured out with Anders pointer to Stack Overflow might get me there.
Thank you a whole lot for following up and your inspiring design work,
much adored.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] issue with jetpack commentsGot it fresatomica,
Comments work with all plugins disabled and Twenty Twenty activated.
Comments keep working when switching back to the intended theme (Chaplin).
Stops workin when re-activating intended theme child theme.
So there.I now will take a closer look at the child theme and get back with success message and thank you – and mark this is solved.
Thank you a whole lot for your push.

In reply to: [Jetpack - WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth] issue with jetpack commentsHello James,
thank you for your quick rsponse.Comments work in both instances (wp built-in and Jetzpack) for as long as I don’t refresh the page. After a refresh the comments disappear from view.
Which php files would I have to disable rocket cache for should this be the culprit?
Thank you,
MarkForum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: [Chaplin] chaplin and jetpack commentsYou are of course right, Anders,
Your fun theme is not at fault. When I switch to twenty twenty, the comment form won’t show nor any existing comments. The following shortcode shows up instead:
[wpsites_comment_form]
Let me start over again and find a way to properly run blog posts on Chaplin used as strict one pager without screwed up urls.
Perhaps there is a way to use Chaplin exactly as is in the demo AND blog entries.
Thank you much either way, I’ll keep at it

In reply to: [Chaplin] chaplin and jetpack commentsThank you for your prompt reply Anders,
Yes I am using shortcode ultimate plugin so I can avoid wp post preview and show the single post entries on one page.
If I visit the post directly the comment entry shows up but no entries are listed, even though they exist.
All entry forms and posts are directly located on the single page, perhaps my setup is wrong alltogether.
How would I show posts on the single page and still have all consecutive urls work correclty?
I’m using standard permalinks (

In reply to: [Chaplin] Cover template as default blog posts templateHello Anders,
I’d love to hear how kikaweb took it from there. The mentioned post on Stack Overflow is way over my head.
Why wouldn’t it be possible to go to setting>reading and add an empty page as post page in addition to the static homepage set up as instructed to match your Chaplin Demo?
I’ve been trying that by setting up the empty page with a template tweak of Full Width Cover Template or Full Width Template but to no available result quite yet.
But then I’m not a developer. My guess is that the template used as a static page for the homepage must use the same framework as a template for Post Page. Hold it that would still ruin the links in the menu!
Perhaps you could let me know if you are using your content.php as page.php – or on which PHP file I could try my look with a code snippet I found to display all posts without messing up the menu links and consecutive links.
Thank you for Chaplin and all your themes. I love each one of them and keep talking clients into using them.

In reply to: [Chaplin] #anchorlink after update fix won’t workConfirmed, that worked and what really resolved the whole issue was you 1.1.14 update.
Boy, you are on your toes and pleasure and fun to be working with.
Thank you much Anders, Mark
Hi Gabriel,
I temporarily disabled email confirmation – but to no available results.
Same as with email confirmation enabled.
The login only works with my default admin logged in.
Cache is disabled for all UP php’s.Now what?
Should I try with ‘Passwordless Login’ since the password field isn’t displayed in the forms?
Thank you much for your time and effort,

In reply to: [Chaplin] Mobile Menu doesn’t work for anchor linksHello gentlemen,
I’ve been banging my head at this and got the mobile menu to work by adding the full path (URL/onepage#link) in my case i.e. https://beatballaballa.org/beta-phase#faq.
However, it ruins the smooth scroll to id animation by loading the URL, then reloading it again to scroll to the anchor. You get to see the landing page than the actual one page, back to the landing page (top) and finally the scroll down animation on the one page.
But for now, it works.
Chaplin is the top theme on my list, I can’t wait to see it work for one-pagers.
Thank you for your great Work Anders, best in Gutenberg class.

In reply to: [Page scroll to id] double load with full path #linkGot it Manos,
(beta-phase is the selected homepage in wp admin – reading: static page)
tried you suggestion again just to confirm that both
https://beatballaballa.com/#faq
#faq
work like a charm as expected. The issure though remains since neither of the two mentioned urls work on mobile or when the browers window is smaller than 1024 and the hamburger menu sets in.
To make sure any instance works I need to use:https://beatballaballa.com/beta-phase/#faq
Thank you again, Mark

In reply to: [MailPoet - Newsletters, Email Marketing, and Automation] MP3 mail sent twiceHello and thank you for prompt response.
You are right, if I try the ‘period’ option, I’d have to two mails go out, one to ‘period’ and one to first name.
Thank you I will gladly contact you as instructed.

In reply to: [WP-Members Membership Plugin] logged in/out works but rest of menu is goneHere’s a warning I am getting that seems to be relaed to previous help request message:
Warning: sprintf(): Too few arguments in /www/htdocs/w00ba6b0/beatballaballa.com/19-beatballaballa/wp-content/plugins/wp-members/inc/dialogs.php on line 386
In addition menu items are listed as bullet points.
Here’s the snippet, it’s the third line from the bottom:
// Assemble the message string. $str = $args['wrapper_before'] . sprintf( $args['welcome'], $args['user_login'] ) . $args['separator'] . sprintf( $args['logout_link'], $args['logout_text'] ) . $args['wrapper_after']; break;
You can also login with the credentials I sent, I gladly send them again if needed,
Thank you,
Mark
